No, Huet's had the lead since the voting started.
At least his lead is smaller now than a week or two ago. Maybe Habs fans lost patience to vote?

Ballot stuffing.

Its the same reason so many Mets and Yankees and Red Sox make all-star games.

And, imo, its really pathetic.

I'd rather give Henrik off than bother with the game. Then again, I'm sure Henke would like to experience at least one all star game in his career...

I would rather not risk him to injury and let him rest as well... but how can Huet be the highest in the ballots... There are many better goaltenders than him.

If Avery was with the Canadians, he'd be starting.

Habs fans are ridiculous. If this isn't proof that all-star selection procedures need changing, I don't know what is.

Well im sure this is the reason that the voting is for starters only... Theres not much you can do about the process, they made it fair by allowing the coaches to choose the rest of the roster. Would you rather there be no voting at all?

Whether Lundqvist is voted as the starter or not, he's going to be selected to the game regardless. So I don't understand the whole rest thing.

Buffalo fans did it last year. They had 3 or 4 players in the starting line up.

Canadians are all hockey and oversized, that's the only reason.

Huet doesn't even come to mind when you think top 10 goaltenders.

Except the Mets, Yankees and Sox players that make it are actually good and the all star game actually has a meaning in baseball. And people actually watch the mlb all star game.

The whole Rory Fitzpatrick thing was a joke, and the prime reason why all star fan ballots are pretty stupid.

I don't know about that.

I figure if Huet is the starter, that leaves 2 places left.

You know Marty is gonna get the nod for the Devils and its VERY VERY possible that no Islanders besides DP makes it.

DP, Marty & the King IMO all deserve to make it.

I think we might have only 1 player at the all star game, tops 2... if this is shanny's last season maybe the commish will get him in (do they still do that?)

Huet's is 12th in GAA and 4th in Save%. Although its not a stat that is always indicative of a goaltender, he is tied for 29th in wins. Lundqvist will play in this All-Star game, undoubtedly, personally I would rather him not(fear of injury), but he will, so what can you do.

i agree, the 3 goalies should be DP, Marty and Lundqvist.. How cool would that be all 3 metro area goalies as the 3 at the game Lundqvist deserves the start

Sad part is Lundqvist, Brodeur, and DiPietro deserve to be at the All-Star game, but the only other players on the three teams that deserve to go is Parise. Think whoever chooses the remaining spots has enough balls to leave Brodeur out? Nothing against Brodeur but if we want to have the players that deserve to go (I know, it's about who's most popular, humor me)...Brodeur would be the old-man out. Course, we can thank Habs fans for being complete homers. Wouldn't even be so bad if Huet was even close to deserving a spot on the team but if he wasn't voted to start, he wouldn't make it at all. Oh well, guess it's not important anyways. Just a shame that our best player by far may be robbed of an all-star appearance is all while one or two of our pathetic forwards may get the nod instead.

Actually, I wouldn't shed any tears if fans couldn't vote for all-stars. Let the GM's, analysts, etc, select the best players. That way struggling, downhill veterans would not get selected over younger, less of a 'big-name' players who are actually having far superior seasons. I mean, friggin Yanic Perreault (sp) made the all-star team last season; are you kidding me??

At least make it so only one vote is registered from any particular IP address. It may not solve the problem entirely, but at least it'll severely cripple the general ridiculousness of the Habs nation's crusade.

As it is, the process is 100% retarded. The whole Rory thing was proof; I don't see it as a joke, I see it more as a protest.
