Looks like it's probably a practice jersey. you can get them if you have some connections.

There are navy ones available here: https://www.icejerseys.com/cart/item...ls.php?id=3033

The Neck of that Jersey looks like the Starter ones we had from '99 (I have the Blue and White 3rds)... It looks pretty sweet though... I'm too lazy to find the picture, but I have the red replica Starter RANGERS w/ the tie...

I have one with the RANGER logo across the front.. Got it about 5 years ago at a sporting goods store on Long Island (Amityville). Must have been a limited run.

Red apparel exists at least partially to appeal to segments of society not usually associated with hockey.

call me a purist but a blueshirt should never be red. unless it's a practice jersey.

I guess i find it sweet because our third jerseys in high school was the a rangers replica - SPARTANS running down diagnoally with thge jersey red, the letters blue with white trim - and tie ups. I guess thats why i liked this.

I was thinking about what a red version of the Rangers' alternate jersey would look like. The alternates were better when made by Starter given the material used. I have both the navy blue and white authentic ones fully customized. I'd prefer a more natural pure red than what I seem to see in that photo.

I agree that Rangers' main color must remain blue. If there is to be any red jersey, it can only be an alternate. Try it without the ugly jazzed up logo on the shoulders, use the Starter jersey material, have navy blue lettering and numbering with white and silver trim and see how that looks. Seriously, I think that would make for a great looking alternate jersey because it's different.

My dad has a red jersey that looks just like the blue "RANGERS" down the front only with the colors inverted. I think he got it at Modell's about 10 years ago and I never saw it after that.

Also I remember black Rangers jerseys back in the day. Apparently they were even interested in making that the 3rd before the liberty jersey, but they were concerned about the "gang effect".

The BLUESHIRTS should wear blue IMO... but it's nice from the small glimpse I got.

Anyways, hopefully the Sabs can beat the Isles for you tonight - not that it's of that much importance
