Mike Green

This kid really impressed me tonight. I wonder what combination of Malik + a prospect it would take to get him.

Why in the world would they trade a kid who looks so good on a consistent basis?

Why would they trade him and for Malik no less? Come on people, let's use a little common sense before starting threads.

You make a solid point. The Rangers would probably have to give up a lot more than Malik and a prospect actually.

He did look good tonight. Very shifty. The moves he put on at the end of regulation were sick.

Yeah, if that prospect was Mark Staal..Watched alot of The Caps and Green this year and the kid is damn good both ways.and much better offensively then Staal is at the moment (though I like Staal better longterm)..Bottom line, Green ain't going nowhere

First, its Marc Staal. Second, there are very few players that the Rangers would consider trading him for. third, Mike Green is not one of them. Maybe Montoya for Green straight up? Staal is way better than Green already.

Green was one of the kids I was hoping the Rangers would take with that 2nd #1 pick they got from Toronto in 2004. Ah well....

Saw a lot of Green in his junior days up in Saskatoon. Was teammates with current Rangers' prospect Joe Barnes. He's always had the offense, the only question marks have been his lack of size and his defensive play. No doubt about it though he has top notch offensive skills and I'd love to have a player like him on the point on our PP right now.

I'm still high on Korpikoski, but Green or Mezsaros would look awfully good on our blue line right now.

And on that note so would Parise or Getzlaf up front....or heck Havlat and Zetterberg instead of Brendl and Lundmark would be sweet too

So how does this work? A player has a good game against the Rangers and now he must be acquired?

A player has a good game against the Rangers so he obviously is good every night. It might be time to start a "Karel Rachunek" thread.

To tell the whole story: He's actually tied for the lead. And there's 50 games left. And he's a minus player for all of his defensive offensive prowess.

Wrong on both accounts, but thanks for playing.

8 goals for Green. Three with 7. Even on the season now.

Green is very good (and I was pulling for him in 04 as well) but this thread is absolutely comical

he ends with the season with 8 goals, and what 6 assists? 14 points. 3 points of which were added tonight.

unbelievable for a defensemen. its not like there are any with over 20 points, or that a + and are essential on the powerplay.....

The game isn't over yet. Mattias Ohlund still has a chance to take the lead tonight. DBSW?

Sorry that this is the first time for me really noticing him. My apologies for not doing a little research on him first. It's been a long week for me, and there's still 2 days left.

I just think that he would fit very well with the team is all.

GtJ - np. I apologize for hammering you The Rangers tried the cookie-cutter/fantasy team approach, and it's not working perfectly.

I think when the season is over we will see that the Rangers have enough talent to win.
