Carter for Smid seems pretty even, but the rest of the deal is bunk. Torres is a third line winger who is currently injured, overpaid, and signed for two more years. He was also recently a healthy scratch for mouthing off to MacT. The Flyers have literally no use for him. Staios is a warrior whose career, like Gator's, is winding down. He's tremendously overpaid for a bottom-pairing defenseman, and signed for two more years. If he were with the Flyers, he'd be in the minors by the end of next year.

Prospect goaltenders are 50-50 in my mind, so I am wondering how good Krajicek really is. I know the scouting reports and what he was supposed to be, but how has he really been? His numbers dont impress me all that much, but that isnt always the best way to judge a dman. He is 24 so he really should be hitting his potential at this point or close to it

Projected cap is expected to be around 54.5m. So assuming that something is done with Hatcher, we should be able to get a deal done with Carter for 2.5 or so per season for 2-3 years.
