Brewer played a strong period, especially coming back and limiting the damage on Salvador's giveaway.

Then he promptly made a crappy outlet pass to nobody and iced the puck.

...that's right. No good defenseman has ever missed on an outlet pass

Here's the story. People around here keep littering the board with insults aimed at Brewer or flood the board with posts whenever Brewer makes a mistake. Because of that it appears as if Brewer really is crappy becasue

1) We don't single out any other player quite like Brewer
2) No one posts things when he makes a good play.

From here on, get used to me posting when Brewer does well, that way a more balanced view may actually happen here. I'm sick of this witchhunt crap and it needs to end

Is Eric your dad or something? When are you going to realize that his play and his contract are no where near in line with one another?

On the December ynot I picked under for the "Will Brewer fall 3 times this month?" so it's not like I want him to fail. Edit: Jackman mad! Jackman smash!

I think Backman, McKee, and Jackman have taken their licks as well on this forum. You are right in saying that Brewer probably takes more, but rightfully so. He certainly has put the ink in stink the last two games. Fortunately, I haven't heard his name a whole lot tonight. That could be a bonus. Other than he iced the puck.

Pinching he right decision there...unfortunately, the execution left alot to be desired.

I'm not going to praise Brewer when he doesn't deserve it, I'm just going to make sure to point out, as in the first period, when he plays well. After all, it's only fair. If every mistake he makes is going to be put under a microscope, then the sum of his play should be put under the microscope as well. Furthermore, after Salvador's giveaway how many Brewer bashers jumped on Salvador's giveaway. Now honestly ask yourselves if you could have passed up the opportunity to post had Brewer made the same mistake.

You say Brewer's play isn't worth his contract, but the same can be said about McKee and Backman can it not. They don't have people waiting to jump on their every mistake.

Cant watch the 3rd period... hopefully the Blues can solve Vokoun.

For the defensive debate: just be glad you guys aren't Lightning fans.

This is most likely the homer in me shining through but I saw Courtnall's as an attempt to get inside a goalie's head. I saw Kypreos on Fuhr as an attempt to injure.

I don't want to see anything vicious. The next time Vokoun comes way out of his net to try and cut down an angle, I wouldn't mind seeing him get bumped by Backes or Tkachuk to try and shake him a bit.

Perron is the best guy on the ice (yes I said it) the first 2 periods and yet here in the 3rd I don't even remember seeing him on the ice?

Walker definatly looks rusty after not playing for 19 games.

Surprisingly, Rucinsky has looked pretty good.

That check he threw behind the net after Backes penalty ruled

When is Andy Murray going to stop being a stupid, stubborn ******* and actually give Perron a chance late in a game. Newsflash: he generated better chances than the oldtimers that Murray ran out at the end of the game. Unbelievable.

I'd rather have to sit through 2 Girls 1 Cup again than watch Murray leave Perron to rot on the bench in the 3rd in yet another game.

Credit Vokoun tonight and blame Murray. His failure to utilize Perron and his failure to try anything different with our powerplay (our 1st unit sucked all game) cost us this game
