Id figure id make a list of players that Rangers should look at. That is after they resign Lundqvist, Avery, Tyutin, Rozsival.

Jason Chimera - he can replace Hossa. he is more physical, has good speed and Sather drafted him.

Matt Cooke - Another fan fav, him and Avery would be fun to watch.

Ryan Malone - A big guy that plays physical and has size, but he can also turn into Hall part 2.

On D

Brian Campbell - A dman that shoots the puck and can hit

Mike Commodore - A big young rugged dman that hits and kills penalties.

Rob Davison - Another rugged dman that takes the body, can play wing as well.

Ron Hainsey - A cheap option, not a bad player, still young at 26.

Barrett Jackman - Rumored to be a Ranger for a while.

Dmitri Kalinin - Very underrated dman.

Nick Schultz - Solid physical dman for the wild.

Reddon would cost alot, rather have more depth than sign one guy to a big contract. we did that this year, now its time to add the small pieces. For the forwards, we need more size and speed up front. On d, more toughness and a dman that can help the PP.

i dunno, but i'd love to get Brian Campbell over to NY

the guy is a PP QB and has tremendous puck-handling skills. He's also pretty solid in his own zone

Out of that list Commadore, Campbell and Malone are the only real interests

Commadore:

Big, tough and can fight he can also put up 25 points a season

Campbell:

Would provide the offensive spark we need from the back line

Malone:

A 20 goal scorer with size, something we do not have

None of those UFAs interest me in the slightest. Maybe this is a pipe dream, but, there are only two potential UFAs that interest me down the road - Kovalchuk and Ovechkin. I'd give either one of them the max IF the ever hit the open market. My gut tells me that ONE of them will play out his contract, and, if I'm Rangers management, that's who I'm spending big bucks. Again, call it a pipe dream, but, those are the two players I'd spend big bucks to bring in. Ovechkin, in particular, is being wasted in Washington, in terms of the boost he could give the league.Sorry, Cap fans, but, I'm hoping he declines ALL attempts by the Caps to re-up, and goes to free agency when his time comes. And, then, the clarion call of Brighton Beach, combined with the Russian presence of Tyutin, Anisimov and Cherepanov, resounds loudly...unless Kovalchuk hears it first.

sign players so renney can fail to use them where they would be most beneficial to the team? if we got malone, he wouldnt be used as a power forward because prucha is the only guy who sits in front of the net. renney probably wouldnt use cambell on the powerplay either.

Of course, the same way Renneys dumb ass failed to use Cullen on the point on the PP which is where he scored many of his goals and helped Carolina win a cup.

So what does Renney do? Parks him in the corners.

or you could sign 2 big free agent centers only to play the "left wing lock" and limit the scoring for the team! yey!

signing AO to a RFA deal would be pointless. they would match the offer the next second.

that has to be a joke, Chimera is a better scorer than Marcel and is alot quicker. He is also more physical. Chimera has 14 pts this year, Hossa has 6. Chimera has more goals in his last 2 years as well. Chimera scored 15 goals last year 36 pts. That is more than Hossa ever did.
