I said it last season and I'll say it again Simon's an ******* and I wish he wasn't on the Isles. One can only hope, this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back
They kind of did make it like it didnt happen. they both commented on it. I never said they didnt. But after their few ocmments, it was not mentioned in the last 6 minutes of the game.

Big difference between that and Silly saying "OMG11!! He was faking He was faking!"
Sillinger said and I quote: "I think he faked it a bit as well" That was a great thing to say. The guy just got stomped out with a skate and to say he faked it is both classless and clueless.

I think all hockey fans are in agreement on this one. There is a better video of it but no one seems to have uploaded it yet.

What player with a healthy state of mind does this kind of ****? Find this guy a psychiatrist, already.

BTW, this reminds me of Haynesworth vs. Gurode.

**** Chris Simon. This guy is a useless piece of crap. Yeah I can't stand Ruutu, but that was one of the stupidest, dirtiest, most unnescessary plays I've seen in quite some time. When will this idiot learn his lesson?

I hope for the Islanders sake that they cut ties with this guy.

The last minutes of the game were hysterical and they didnt get a second to do anything but play by play. As soon as that was over, they said the same thing everyone else has said, that it was wrong and he should be punished. Get off Howies case and complain about the person that actually did something wrong.

Quote the rest of it.
It went something like, "I think he faked it a bit as well, but I have to go back and look at it and see what happened." -which is what I said!
He was not sitting in front of a friggin TV like you and me, he didnt see what happened. Get off Sillys case and complain about the person that actually did something wrong.

As much as I hate to defend them (Jaffe in particular gets on my nerves) they definitely did, because I only caught the last 3-4 minutes of the game after the Wolf Pack game ended, and I heard them talking about it. And it was pretty much the main topic of conversation after the game.

I stopped watching, I was pissed. But, to be fair a game was still left to be played. Not calling you out, but for many Ranger fans, nothing the Isles or the announcers would have said would have been enough.

Sorry, you lost me at "most classiest".

I was making a joke, get over it. You're the one coming into the NEW YORK RANGERS forum and lecturing us for hating our rival team.

Simon is a piece of ****. Ban for life. Nothing against Sillinger but he shouldn't have said anything if he wasn't sure.

Bc theres hockey to be called....thats there job...they have post game for that howie and jaffe have a job to do. fans want commentary not to talk about the same thing for the last 6 minutes of the game when there going to hear it after the game. it was over, done...they spoke of it after. to talk about it during the last 6 would have been annoying for fans trying to watch the last 6 mins.

You can't even compare the hollweg incident with this. This whole thing stemmed from a player that wasn't even on our team. I'm not bashing Sillinger at all, but I'm sure he's not thrilled with Simon either.

Gad, I realize that Nolan loves the guy and from what I've read Simon is a pretty decent guy off the ice.

Find him a job in the Isles' organization and get him off the ice.

If he actually went after another player with his skate--this should be it for him. Suspend him for life if that is the case. His snap factor seems to have passed even Purinton's.

Man, Simon is just an idiot. Though I wouldn't mind stomping on Jarko f-----' Rutuu

I watched the game and Howie and Jaffe definitely expressed their displeasure with Simon mentioning a probable suspension and stupidity. (in other words) It was actually a brief moment where Jaffe finally let go of the fact that Crosby wasn't given a crosscheck penalty along with Witt earlier. And I have no probs with Silinger. The guy is a good teammate and indeed a classy guy. Once he's seen the replay, he'll change his tune.

Bottom line is that simon is a ****in moron and doesn't deserve the privilage of being on a nhl team. He's just a headcase and a repeat offender and that's 2 times in a year he could have seriously hurt another player with his actions. There is no room in the league for that.

Also there is no way he could've faked that. It looks like he got him between the boot and the shin guard which is a pretty ripe area.

And on another note I think Jaffe is a moron for stuff like that. It's such a pain to here that guy work a game.

Early inn his career he was quite a good fighter, that seemed to slip or decrease in the recent years, yet in the last 2 years he has done some pretty disgusting, out of a persons mind things.

With all the documented effects of steroids, and the baseball scandle, could this maybe be something to look at? Roid rage is commonly associated with the use of roids and people for lack of better terms snapping.

I am not accussing Simon, nor do I have any evidence, nor have I heard rumors of Simon on roids. After the last 2 incidents however the thought of it crosses my mind.

I'm pretty sure that Simon has had a few incidents in the past as well, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

At any rate, any news on Nolan's reaction? I have no doubt he'll defend Simon to the death and somehow spin it to be something like "he's a good team player, he was just trying to help his team".

This guy serves absolutely no purpose in the NHL, I think if they let this slide(which they probably wont), especially after the 'other' incident,he will just continue to do more and more stupid and wreck less things. Get him out of the league.

Something makes me think the suspension he got last season for swinging at Hollweg was his 6th, but I too am too lazy to look it up.
