Late afternoon game tomorrow. I'll update the usual stuff tomorrow morning. If there are any errors, let 'em fly.

If Stevens doesn't play Lupul-Richards-Umberger together, he needs to be fired. Immediately.

I want him demoted to the AHL where he belongs. His coaching has been Hunter-esque.

From a Devils fan point of view I think this should be an exciting game. Flyers have been fun to watch of late. When we play a trapping team like the Rangers we seem to trap even more ourselves and trap ourselves to sleep. This should be the different and have a few scraps. Will the Flyers have their legs or be tired?

The Flyers have been a better team on the road than at home in recent weeks. Who knows about the legs. It was close to the worst possible outcome last night, an emotional contest so the mental aspect factors into the issue as much as physical.

Who is playing in goal for the Devils? I would guess Niitty goes for the Flyers.

I'd be 100% sure it will be Brodeur. The Devils looked like crap yesterday so they'll be better today. The key to the Flyers toady will be goaltending you'll have to steal this one to get 2 points. I expcet the Devils to come out all guns blazing. I like the Flyers scoring depth but we can skate with them and always match up well. You have more guys who can finish and put pucks in the net and the bigger names on the blueline. We have to take advantage of your injuries no Timmonen I think is going to be a huge factor today. Anyway enjoy the game.

Timonen is listed as a maybe so there is a chance he'll play. Maybe.

I'm getting a positive vibe today. The Devils shirts/jerseys are making a reemergence at my school, I need to make fun of some 11 year olds tomorrow.

For all those who bash Kimmo, I hope you noticed how badly he was missed last night.

Also, if anyone is planning on making the trek up here, the weather is wicked bad. Take mass transit and then take your life in your own hands (just a joke Devils fans) and walk the few blocks to the Pru Center.

Also, I've heard, not officially, that Brodeur may not be in nets today. I'll see if I can do any recon and get back to you.

EDIT: Sutter says Brodeur in nets today. So much for wishful thinking.

What's wrong with Timmonen? This is a huge division rival that I would think, he would need to suck it up for.

It could be an injury suffered the last week of November in a game vs. Boston. He left that game and didn't practice the next day. That injury was termed as a "lower body injury" as well. In that game, he was hit along the boards and had what was described as a knee injury.

Moi aussi. And there's no other team I despise losing to more than the freakin' Devils.

It all started in 2001, in this sick place in my body that I don't like to go to, I thought that I almost wanted the Stanks to win, ya know after the attacks on the city and all. But then the actual series took place and there was no way I could root for them. And then Schilling, a former O, just took it too them but good and was named co-MVP of the series. So I just cut out every picture I could find and hung it on a wall in my classroom--the pictures of Jeter crying in the dugout were priceless. It just snowballed from there. Every year they lose I have my husband buy every newspaper he can find--the more anti-Yankee pictures the better. The best, by far, was the year they collapsed against the Sox. "Yankees choke" was the heading on a wall of pictures that was, no exaggeration, 6 feet by 3 feet. People would come in my classroom just to take pictures of it. I offer extra credit for pictures of Jeter crying, and those turn-coat Yankee fans that I teach would waste all the ink in their printers printing them up for me.

This year, my principal, and the hugest Yankees fan I know, put something up on the board in our classroom about the Mets choke. Under it I wrote, "Sorry, you are mistaken...since 2004 the universal sign for choking is: NY" (but in the Yankee symbol). Surprisingly enough, he let it stay up for a few days and I still have a job.

If the Flyers come out and play the same game they did yesterday, the Devils won't know what hit them.
