Offensively yes, though i suppose when our defense passes it right to them they really wouldn't know what hit them either....

There were several fluky goals last night. There were a few dumb passes, but they are hockey players, not automaton. They'll make a few dumb plays every game, that's when your goalie has to bail you out.

All that said, going to be pretty tough. Long, tough game only 22 hours before this one starts up. It'll be hard for them to put together the same type of effort, though they are pro athletes, so I don't think it's too much to ask of them.

Haha, I wanted to do the same exact thing but my family would have thought I had a psychotic break.

Anch'io. Hopefully that effort wasn't just because they were "scheduled" for a win. I liked the effort last night a lot.

I highly doubt they will. Not on a back to back. This is going to be a sloppy game, I think.

NJ played yesterday as well, which mitigates the previous night discussion.

I have a feeling New Jersey is going to get the better of us tonight. I'm fully expecting it to look like a game against the Canadiens. Anyone know if Timonen will be back?

as much as id love to see a win, I'm doubting it like the rest of you. The inconsistency is to much, but I'm still hoping for a W.

we have yet to exert much control at all over NJ and had play dictated to us in large stretches of the first three games... this is a big test and they need to alter how they've played them considerably.

I hope they dicate the play the same way they did when they got shutout 4-0.

I'm aware, but we had a much tougher game with our best player playing 30 minutes and likely our backup goalie tonight. It was a much bigger effort last night for us than for them, a game we should have won. A win here would be a bonus in my view.

go back and watch tape of that game... our forwards finished well, and Biron played fantastically... but the Devils controlled the majority of the game.

we were outshot 38-18, pulled a lot of penalties out of us... etc.

it was a nice win, but no coach is ever going to pull out the game tape of that one and say, "we played fantastic, replicate this one."

Devils not using the Parise-Elias-Gionta line to start.

Looks like Biron is starting.

He's been brutal when he's played back to backs.
