Esbjerg have had a very, very bad season, and are trying to get a ticket to the playoffs, but i don't think they will have succes. Hmm anc i can't find Robert on the teams own site.
But i'm not from Esbjerg so i can't tell you how he has been playing, but you can try www.hockeydebat.dk i think there are some Esbjerg fans too.
sometime i want to go to Trondheim, it's just across the border from me - just to see the level of hockey that the GET-ligaen has
is the topteams comparable to playing in Allsvenskan ?
because i remember Trondheim and Östersund (div1) here had quite even battles during preseason...
i think vålerenga and storhamar could be decent teams in allsvenskan. stavanger and sparta would probably be fighting to stay there...
you should go and take a look if you have the time/money... trondheim isnt the best team (by far the worst actually). but you will get a sense of what GET-ligaen is like...
lol. yeah. but that was in the 2nd division (tierIII).
i play in the 1st division. and really, the 1st division isnt that great. the 2nd division is brutal!!!
Yeah, Kesti had ~5p/game in 1.div as well and over 1.5p/game in League in his season. Not surprising tho, since he have been good in 2nd tier in Finland as well. Best seasons a bit over 1ppg back to 96 or so.
Sad that I never played against any norwegian teams when still being active player. Played tho against 2y older Dannish National team
Redwingsfan, you seem to be an expert on Norweigan hockey, could you tell me how a certain ex Coventry Blaze player Evan Cheverie is doing for Valeranga, as IIRC he was playing there at the start of the season. At the Blaze he seemed to not to care and would always choke in the big games and be completely anonymous. Is he like that there?
hi guys, just wanted to tell u that i just watched my first GET-ligan game last friday
i visited some friends in Oslo and we went to see Vålerenga-Lillehammer when they played their 4th game of the quarterfinals (vålerenga won 5-1)
the best players in norway is probably about average in swedish elitserien and the class of play was ok, it was kind of slow at times and the fans singing was what kept me from not falling asleep
about Cheverie i think he was ok, didn't really stand out in any way
OT: what's with the golden helmets? the defenceman in Vålerenga with that helmet was probably the slowest i've seen on skates and not really good, but i guess he scores a few points on the Powerplay...he did score a goal iirc
Best players in Norway could be best players in Sweden. We have seen a few examples of it. "Shampo", Skröder, Trygg-brothers(they were fairly good). Yetman did ok/good this season?
The golden helmet is a new thing this season(or was it last season...). The player with the most points on each team got the helmet.
Johan Åkerman played in Vålerenga for å while(2-3 years+?).

that would be Lars Erik Lund...
Only thing he can do is shoot on the PP...
the sad part is, he is on the norwegian national team
MarekUramIsGod, sorry for not replying... I havent visited this thread in a looong time... I think everything about Cheverie has been covered.. he is decent.. and thats it..
