what Carter needs is a wing who can both carry the puck... and slow the pace of the line down some (i.e., not Upshall). his lines have generally always played far too fast and not had any patience in creating chances... some of that has been the people we've had here... some of it has been poor use of the guys we've had.

Since the Flyers don't have that, he needs the guy who can't help but slow things down because he can't skate as fast as Carter: Knuble.

I hope gagne magically makes the breakouts better when he gets back. He will be able to give richie a breather on the pk though, he's logging way too much ice time.

Hartnell and knuble need a shoot first center, which is carter. knuble should only be allowed to touch the puck when he's shooting it. its just painful. hopefully hartnell turns it around, since he was brought in to replace knuble, eventually.

I'm roaring on that one. So true, so, so true.

I hope we hold onto Carter long enough for him to play on a line with giroux.

Giroux/Carter/Hartnell would be sick.

Gagne Takes Part in Full Practice

Flyers forward Simon Gagne was cleared for contact and took part in a full practice with his teammates for the first time since getting a concussion in Pittsburgh on November 7. He has missed the last 18 games.

Gagne continues to make progress, and even said that what is keeping him out now may not be the concussion, but discomfort in his neck in which he has been seeing a chiropractor to remedy.

Hopefully Briere will be back with Gags and Knuble once all three are healthy at the same time.

Part of me says that this is what the Flyers want to release, but after reading that, I figure why not wait? Two games, at this point and time, isn't going to kill us. We need him back at 100% and if the extra few days means he will be, then it'll be worth it in the long run.

If he is not 100% he should not play.. it's ok to wait another week or maybe even two.
