Just like Sunday's game against Phoenix, I'm really looking forward to tonight's tilt in Minnesota. It's the State of Hockey the Rangers pay a visit to and to me, it's always special.
I was at the Garden for Mike Richter Night and the Wild won that game, so no doubt Minnesota has been a Rangers opponent since the last meeting at the X.
Since I also keep a close eye on the Wild, I know that Josh Harding is the real deal, guys. He has had his moments where he's had an off night, but more times than not, he's very tough to score against. So the Rangers have to crash the net to have a chance tonight.
As the Rangers have struggled at times without Sean Avery for what he brings to the team, Wild have as well when Marian Gaborik has been sidelined by injury (their scoring as a team obviously takes a hit). Not sure if Minnesota will put up over 100 points again this season, but they are still quite a good team. It might not look like it as much considering we know of the red-hot start the Red Wings are on and the rest of the Western Conference is pretty stacked.
