Sorry to say but I gotta go with the wangs in this one.
Wangs 5, Blues 3
Draper will annoy the hell out of everyone as always.
On a positive note, Perron will get 2 points in 6 minutes of ice time...
We'll see.

With a 4 game losing streak and the best team in the league coming in, I say we've got nothing to lose...might as well play EJ and Perron as much as possible Andy! I bought his "matchup problem" excuse for the Cal. game, but not tonight.

Well you know the last time Detroit rolled into town while we were struggling, we pulled out the W and I think we went on to win 7 of the next 8 if memory serves correct.

Hopefully the boys give a better effort than they did in their previous meeting with the Wings.
3-2 Blues
Perron x 2, Jackman
Franzen, Lidstrom

First of good luck with tonight's game.
Question Legace i imagine is getting the start tonight?. He has a knee issue that requires surgery but, is opting to play through it?. Just curious if that was correct or not my friend was telling me about it but, had no link to support it. Any truth to this?
Thanks enjoy the game ~ Magnus.

I'm liking this Perron - Tkachuk - Stempniak line. There's been some great opportunities from their line. Also, nifty save by Legace.

BOYES SCORES!
Holmstrom scored exactly the same way the other night - they let it stand. I would have been incredibly pissed had they overturned this one.

The PP looks more lively with McDonald but it's still not clicking.
I think the main reason is we're not having that perimeter shot from the point that we used to with Mac and Pronger. We need EJ to shoot the puck more! Also getting Brewer off of the PP unit wouldn't hurt.

The Wings completely shut us down 3-0 last time so it's not like we always play this well every time against them. It has more to do with us trying to shake a losing streak and the Wings playing last night.

That line has looked really good thusfar.
Walt needs to get going again. I can't even remember the last goal that he got.

The D-man I dump on the most (Brew) is paired with the D-man I make excuses for the most (Salvy) Man, I'm so conflicted!

One bad change, and the Wings pounce to take the lead.

What in the hell happened ... it's like we looked up at the clock and decided, "OK ... we're up 1-0, game's half over, let's call it a night."
I missed who's out with the knee ... anyone?

I'm still liking our chances. We've had WAY more scoring chances than the Wings. That last PP was a thing of beauty(even though we didn't score), can't wait til the next one.
