January, we'll probably be slumping still and will need to do something.

I would say January would be when he wears a Blue Jacket, by that time his call up may be out of necessity rather than experiment.

I said March. I'm not sure when the trade deadline is but IMO he will move up into Feds spot at that time. At last summers prospect camp he was easily the most impressive player there. The last time I saw a prospect that impressive was Nash in 02. I would still like to see him add some weight,

I said March. Irregardless, it will be a mute point soon.

Going with March but want to put a disclaimer on it. If we are still in the hunt (not looking promising at this point I know) I see him staying with the Crunch the entire season. If management holds true to their words us in the hunt = trade to fill the gaps. If we aren't in the hunt he will be filling in for Feds who would likely be the first one shipped out of Dodge.

After seening Alex Picard's '05-'06 season I'm gunshy about putting a rookie coming off an injury into the bigs.

Let him develop let him mature...

If he is brough up though, I hope it isn't as a demonstration as trade bait...

Have to agree. I wouldn't mind seeing him put on another 20-30 lbs before he shows up but wouldn't think that this set of coaches would make the move before it was time like thier predecesors.

I think he will need the month of January to get back up to speed and will get his first look with the CBJ in February. Had he been healthy, I think we would have already seen him up here. Nothing to do with rushing him, circumstances would have led to his call-up.

Wow this thread is full of bad grammar and spelling. Regardless. Don't need the ir, it's already negative.

20-30 lbs would make him fat. He by no means needs to gain that much weight.

I'm thinking late January we'll see him come up, and he'll likely be here for the rest of the season.

6'1" and 190-200lb is hardly fat. Currently at 172lbs he is a beanpole. My son at 13 and 6'1" is only 8 pounds lighter than him. I just think a few extra pounds of muscle would help him fend off injuries along the boards or even open ice hits at his current weight.

I'm going with next season. If there are trades at the deadline I think we get a center coming our way, which would either give us a log jam at that position or the same number we have now (assuming Fedorov is part of the trade).

I also don't think H & H want to bring him up just to see how he can play in the NHL. While it makes sense it's all about winning this year, irrespective of where we finish. Giving Brassard NHL minutes just to give him minutes would also be an admission that we're out of the hunt.

Geez Mateez, Mac, have you no sense of humor? I suspect both "irregardless" and "mute" were intentional. Weren't they? (I sure hope so!)

Whenever the holiday freeze is lifted, hopefully.

Irregardless, I'll drink an expresso to toast Brassard's whereing of the Jacket's jersey when they're is an open spot in the lineup.

Does the holiday freeze apply to call ups or are you meaning that you are hoping for a trade clearing the way for him right after the freeze ends? I wouldn't think that it could but don't know for sure.

Which would make all this speculosity mute.

Just funnin' around. Too distracted to form anything more than a toss-off thought. Expecially with the holidays coming up.
