Please win...please. I don't want to go into Christmas break with 3 straight losses. We solved Ottawa last time, so that gives me hope.

Still..8-1 OTT.

I don't care if we win or lose, I just want this team to play like a team again (which usually means winning). Otherwise, Merry Christmas, Ottawa. For sure.

What do I think? Blowout. 7-2 Ottawa, with 26 quality scoring chances for Ottawa. December ain't over yet. We must play the worst hockey of all teams in the entire NHL right now. For sure.

The key for turning this mess around:
*Forwards frigging backchecking! Yes, that means you as well, Jaromir "floating through the neutral zone, because I'm too tired, because I stayed out too long on the shift - again" Jagr. If you can't score, you better damn work your hide off. And to work your hide off, you can't stay on the ice for 1:30. What else is the point of having you out there?
*Clear the frigging crease and mark the slot, which needs the help of backchecking forwards)! How many times are opponents left completely alone there, uncontested, for rebounds or passes? 20 a game?

I'm a Henrik homeboy, yes, but he isn't the problem. Give him the defensive support which any goaltender in the world wants from his team, and we'll be fine. That means, no uncontested players in the slot, crease or on rebounds. They should each have a blueshirt in their face, now almost no one does. How many times has Henrik not stopped the initial shot (even the very tough ones), which is his primary job? Not often. He has faced more quality shots in december than the rest of the entire season added together. Oddman rushes, breakaways, uncontested opponents everywhere.

I don't know if I have the stomach to watch the onslaught tonight.

I'm almost always confident that this team has a shot at winning any given game, but not tonight.. the December embarasment will continue.

I have no fear that we can win this game... not because of our defense, our forwards clicking or Henrik standing on his head. No, it's because my girlfriend will be there and she is 6-0 this year. lol. Seriously, we need to get our game in gear and do whatever we can to make sure our "shutdown" line isn't on the ice against Heatley, Spezza, Alfredsson. That would make me very nervous.

On a side note, this will be my first game watching from the 400's. We'll see how that goes. LET'S GO RANGERS!

My feelings exactly.

I will watch, but I'm not expecting it to be pretty. I'm sure the Ottawa players are watching videos of our incompetence right now and grinning

Dear Lord baby Jesus, or as our brothers in the south call you, 'hey-soos', we thank you so much for this bountiful harvest of Dominos, KFC, and the always delicious Taco Bell. I just want to take time to say thank you for my family. And for a freakin' Rangers game where they play as a unit, don't let the Senators forwards get in front of our defense and allow Henrik to play 60 minutes without having to stand on his head. A 2-goal game from that number 68 guy would also be very much appreciated.

BTW, I'll be in Section 337 taking my older brother to the game as his Christmas present. LET'S GO RANGERS!!!

5-2 Sens, with the 5th goal being an empty netter.

So if Avery and Hossa play I say Prucha and Hollweg are out.

prucha, mara both out.. malik back in.. malik and strudwick is a recipe for disaster.. and renneys mis-use of prucha continues on.. it wont be until they trade him and he's tearing it up elsewhere that he will realize what he's wasted away this season..

good to see avery back hopefully he wont be over the top tonite..

Straka-Gomer-Jagr
Avery-Drury-Shanny
Dawes-Dubi-Cally
Holly-Betts-Orr

Rosi-Staal
Tyuts-Girardi
Malik-Strudwick

Lundy?

Don't have a problem with that lineup at all. I'd switch Dawes & Avery though, not because I think Avery is bad at the 2nd line, but I think Dawes truly shines on the second line and Callahan and Avery work well together.

12-1 Ottawa.

Alfredsson with 3 natural hat tricks -- 11 goals total. Valley comes in and stops him from getting the 4th.

I'm a little surprised Mara is out, the guy wasnt too bad lately?! If he really wanted to get Malik in, should've been at Strudwicks expense. Oh well, hope that pairing doesnt get any time against Ottawa's top line!

With Avery back on the 2nd line, and Dawes bumped down to the 3rd, makes sense to sit Prucha. A few games off might do him some good.

Lets Go Rangers!
