What Position do you Play?

What position do you play?

Me...i'm all over. Played defense from 7-9 years old. Then moved to offense from 9-18, then back to defense 18-20 years old and now at 22 I play both forward and defense for all 3 of my teams.

I'm the best forward on my old varsity hockey school team that we formed in an adult league (heh, funny also since I wasnt the best player back in HS...but now I am..lets just say I was a bit out of shape back then and now i'm not).

My other 2 adult teams I still play defense, and love it. I play very good defense and I still get a good amount of points for each.

Anyway, what do you play??

Forward, but I'll go defense in pickup games just because it's fun to be able to see the entire ice and carry it up from that vantage point. Plus I love to put a low slapper on goal and watch a mess ensue. Makes me feel powerful to know that my shot can cause so much havoc, even if it's not going directly into the net ^.^

Generally right wing, as a left handed shot. I'd love to claim that I have a killer one timer, but in reality I just suck at stopping on my left side.

I played goalie in high school, and now I mostly play forward, and occasionally drop back on defense... And I'll still strap on the pads if anyone needs a goaltender. So I guess my answer is "all of the above."

this year i just started playing defense as my team is awfully depleted and i'm starting to like it a lot. i still rotate back and forth depending on who's in the lineup so i put myself down for F & D.

I started playing hockey in 1991 at age 4

1991-1998: Goaltender in Finland/Quebec (I was blessed, my coach in Finland was a 50 year old man who seemed as if he invented goaltending)
1998-2000: Defense in Colorado
2000-2001: Goaltender in Chicago
2001-2002: Center in Chicago
2002-2008: Left wing in Chicago

I started when I was 10, and I played defense for the first year. Then I wanted to play forward and I've been playing it ever since. But I think I am a more all around player now than previous years.

Left-wing, can fill in on the right side every once in a while. I'm lousy at faceoffs so I don't play center, and I can't skate backwards particularly great so I don't play defense either.

And I hate goalies.

I'll do defense in road hockey just to mix things up, I'm a finesse d-man with the puck and a stay-at-home one without it.

I have always been a forward. For my first few years I played mostly center and right wing, but in my last couple years I found a niche as a right-handed left winger, finding I could get myself more open on the left side of the ice and could see the ice better. Not to mention having a right handed shot from the left side is always rad.

I'm primarily a defenseman but since our league team is deep at defense I shuffle between D and forward -- either wing. It gets confusing but I enjoy playing in so many different situations.

Mostly wing because there are usually better skaters to play center. At times I'll drop back on D

Mainly goalie. If not goal then Leftwing/Center. The occasional stint on defence.

I play wherever our coach puts me.

I play defense when we're short. I'm a good skater and am very defensivly minded.
I play centre because I'm a good faceoff man (girl, woman, person...whatever) 12/13 in the dot last night including 2 huge wins in our end and 3 huge wins to set up some scoring chances.
I play leftwing because I grind.

I HAVE played net before...but I ended up with 6PIM...in one game...so no more.

I didn't vote because I play forward, defense, and goalie, and there's no option for "everything."

LW or C. Prefer LW though since it gives me more opportunities to hit people
