Ribeiro would have fit in well with this team.......people were expecting him to be a 50 goal man and were on his back after every bad shift, he is too soft, too this, too that

the guy is an NHL player, plain and simple, not AHL

HfBoards posters, breath a collective sigh of relief as Chazz brings his valuable insight into the conversation.

Thank you, Chazz! You can hear them scream.

Agree Chazz. He would have been a sueful thrid liner if surrounded by size eg Lats. Imagine hearting over and eover again, "Latendresse frm Ribiero." It would have set this team apart. The old cant play on first line the 3rd and 4rth line have be equatable to opprtunity room students is very very old. Talent on all lines. This team would have been better off with Ribiero and picks for SThorton, Carbonneau etc.

And all you managed to figure out, was that he wouldn't score 50, and that he was not an AHL player, but in fact an NHL player.

You shouldn't have edited your post, Chazz. Now we both look silly.

It's obvious that the reason why he was traded has nothing to do with his pts production.

Side note:

A road game scheduled on Dec. 23 hasn’t been kind to the Canadiens over the years. The Habs will look to put the brakes on the lengthy drought, dating back to the end of the Second World War. Ever since a 4-1 win over the Bruins in Boston on Dec. 23, 1945, Montreal has been held out of the win column on the infamous date, going 0-9-8 over the last 60-plus years.

Thanks for that, Ribs63!

As you might expect though, this has been making headlines for about 4 years here in Montreal.

Ribeiro gets one assist tonight.

But Komisarek kills him the next shift with a thunderous hit so it evens out.

How do you like the trade now? Niinimaa = alive, Ribeiro = dead.

Stop making up imaginary players. Ott and Barch? They don't even exist, how could they hurt our team.

"Make love, not war" says Hfboards member Stewart Jemal Harris Jr, as he makes the BBC's homepage echoing such lovely sentiments, online
