So far, the penalty kill has been good killing the only penalty so far. The PP didn't get the job done, yet again (nice shot by Johnson, should've been tipped). Solid effort so far, but they can pick their play up still.

Legace solid as always. Where would this team be without him?

Not Legace's fault though...

Chalk that up to an elite player doing his thing.

Has anyone ever seen old clips of Phil Espo. in front of the net? That's what Walt looked like!

Exactly! Walt has to be "The Garbageman", he is on top of his game that way. He is really revving up now. Love to see him moved to the wing.

1 point so far for the Blues.

This game is against the Eastern Conference and I don't like our chances against Hossa and Kovalchuk in a shootout...I say air it out in the next 5 minutes with the rookies

or we could just lose in 20 seconds thanks to McKee.

Sucks to lose but its still 3 points in 2 days. Hopefully they'll just be that much hungrier for the Wings and Sharks

I'd have figured we'd get 1 point in Bos. and 2 tonight, oh well.

I didn't see the the 1st period, but the Blues played really well for a team that played yesterday (in Boston no less). Perron was pretty dominant along the boards today

As a Thrashers fan, I just have to say this:

The Blues deserve a lot of praise. If not for their determination, defense, and Legace's spectacular saves (Especially that save early in the second period!), the Thrashers could have blown this one wide open. That's really a downside teams have to playing out-of-conference opponents once every blue moon: Out-of-conference teams don't really come prepared to see what they're in for. No one really knows what to expect of the other team. Atlanta got much better since the last time the Blues saw them at Scottrade, and as a result, Atlanta won for the first time in franchise history on your turf. That's no disrespect to the Blues - they played an excellent game this evening.

Job well done on earning at least the one point.

For some reason, Slava Kozlov is better than Kovalchuk in the shootout.

The Blues played like crap, but we got a point, although we didn't deserve one.

Having watched the game from start to spectacular finish, I would disagree. The Blues played a great game.

Wouldn't say great. It wasn't good or great, they were sloppy.

Agreed, Legace is awesome, and he probably saved 2-3 goals during this game alone, but it is often a true team effort and Toivonen is no slouch.

Ozzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzgood.

Legace was horrible against Detroit, I was at the game.

Does Hannu start vs SJ?
