Awards you've won

Has anyone won any awards in a league or camp playing hockey?

I won 'Most improved player' my first year hockey camp and i won 'Most improved defensive player' in my league.

The club I played for when I was a kid had a Founders Trophy that they gave each year (usually to a Midget or Junior). It had a bunch of blah blah on it about sportsmanship and hard working and values and some other stuff. I won that award in a year I had 125 pims in a 20 game season and led the league in pims. Guess they didn't read the front of the trophy first before they gave it to me.

when i was younger i got most sportsmanlike 3 years in a row...once contact started it went out the window

when i was 13-16 i won most dedicated and was team captain for 3 years..a few player of the game awards and stuff during those years in AAA, never really put up big numbers, I did anything the coach wanted me to do....

Do they still hand out Esso medals?I havent played rep in almost 5 years, they dont hand that stuff out in junior and college

I won the playoff MVP one year (the year my team lost in the finals), I won the best defenseman award (the year my team won), and best defensive forward the year after that, and won the comeback player of the year after a large number of injuries knocked me out for a year.

No individual awards, just four mens league championships. There is no "i" in team right fellas...

After all the years of playing hockey. The only individual I've won have been martial arts awards. Least I got something on the bookcase at home eh.

I won third place in the eighth grade spelling bee.
If only I could have spelled 'dungerees' correctly...'dungurees'? ..'dungaries'?
<)-:**
As far as hockey, I've won the admiration of my friends.

Numerous game MVP awards including one against a team from Denmark, which was special. MVP of high school team after undefeated season, most improved a couple times, never sportsmanlike lol.

mmm.. would win one MVP every tournament. they would only allow you to win it once per tournament. when i was 10 or 11 i won a massive trophy for having the most assists in a tournament. was on a "all-star team" the one year our team made it to provincials.

now if only i wasn't 5'8 and didn't start drinking and smoking in my teens i'd be makin some good coin

Highschool I was dominant. Until my brother played with me Senior year.

2003-2004 were great years for me. I was lead scorer every year on my team and I'd win MVP of team, confrence and tournament.

My senior year, my brother, who was in 8th grade. Played varsity highschool on the top line. He scored 118 points in 48 games on my line, I only has 77 (I would only score like 90's in a good season). He's now a junior scoring 122 points his last year and right now he has 88 points in 31 games (on pace for 141 points) against some pretty good HS teams. He's winning alot more than me.

My stats (I don't know goals and assists... just points)

2002 GP: 28 (I was really hurt that year, I was on JV I) Pts: 19
2003 GP: 50 (First year on varsity... as a sophomore) Pts: 87 (put me up on the first line)
2004 GP: 49 (missed one because of vacation, youngest captian in team history) Pts: 94
2005 GP: 47 (misses 2 for vacation, 1 flu, brother on my line) Pts: 77

My brother's stats
2005 GP: 48 (he was 13 on varsity, on top line) Pts: 118
2006 GP: 50 Pts: 122
2007 GP: 31 (season in progress) pts: 88 (on pace for 141)

I won:
2002:
Sportsmanship award
Principal's Outstanding Athlete: Ice Hockey JVI

2003:
Team MVP
Up State 8 MVP
Up State 8 Tournament MVP
Sportsmanship award
Principal's Outstanding Athlete: Ice Hockey Varsity

2004:
Same as above minus the Sportsmanship award... for some reason

2005:
Sportsmanship award
Pricipal's Outstanding Athlete award: Varsity

My brother has won every award he has been able to.

Wow...some pretty impressive stats there. So I'm guessing something along the lines of:

Finnerican: Div. III scholarship
Finnerican's bro: Fast track for Div. I scholly

we never had yearly awards like team MVP, Most dedicated, most improved for most of the years i played hockey, until i had to play hockey in the city (i live in small town, and when i go to bantams, there wasnt enough players, so i had to play somewhere else). got most dedicated player for both my years in midgets...and a bunch of game stars during tournaments. the one game i was most proud of was in peewees, AA, we had 2 d-men out with injuries, so i had to play defense for this tournament. well in the first game we won 12-2...and i ended up getting 2 goals and 10 assists. so i ended up staying on the blueline for the rest of the year, specifically because one of the guys injured was out for the rest of the year. definately my biggest personal accomplishment in a hockey game

I played Freshmen year at U of I, but sadly had to "retire" because I tore a muscle in my lower back and I got my scholarship revoked so I had to turn most of my time to my grades to get an academic scholarship.

My brother has spoken to USHL, ECHL and BCHL scouts but we're still wanting him to play Collegic because he's far too small (5'8" 130ish lbs) to be taken seriously in any semi-pro leagues. He may play U of I like I did... He hasn't spoken with many NCAA scouts suprisingly. He really really really wants to play for Notre Dame but we're not Catholic and of course our dad will have nothing to do with Catholic affiliates.
