From the Post-Standard today:

Quote:
Brule gave the Crunch a 1-0 lead just three and a half minutes into the game. Brule took a nifty drop pass from Tom Sestito in the slot and snapped a quick shot low to the stick side that beat Albany starter Kevin Nastiuk.
Quote:
Brule notched his second goal of the game three and a half minutes into the third period. He went hard to the net and redirected a Sestito pass from the corner past Nastiuk to give the Crunch a 4-1 lead.
Quote:
On the ensuing power play, Brule took a pass from Clay Wilson and scorched a one-timer from the left point past Nastiuk to extend the Crunch's lead to 5-1.

Thanks SF45!

Looks like a little bit of everything, a wrister, a banger, and a slapper.

Bring him up!
Everybody knows you can't ruin a guy by bringing him up to early.

Bring him up and give him top six minutes like he is getting in 'Cuse, he'll produce!!!

His problems likely stem from not getting enough minutes, which speaks to coaching staff trust issues, which are messing with his head.

Since he's already been "ruined" by bringing him straight to the NHL, a prolonged stay in the 'Cuse may not be the best thing for him.

How many minutes play Gilbert in Cuse?
Does he play SH?
How often does he play PP?
Does he play well in defense or not?

He's been around 19 minutes a game.
He played on the top PP line with Konopka, MacKenzie, Brassard, and Wilson was the defenseman I believe.
His defense last night was okay, but it was the first game I've seen him play live in person.

Brassard is promoted, and likely will get a good look at 1st/2nd lines. Where does that leave Brule? If he is promoted after 8 games at Syracuse like promised, will he get the same old 6 minutes a night, or top line minutes as well? If it's 6 minutes, just keep him down so he can be major part of the team.

Nothing was promised. The deal was, if after 8ish games he is playing exceptionally well, he'd return to Columbus. He's played in three games so far, and with the exception of one game where he scored a hat trick, he hasn't been dominant.

He'll be back when he earns it.

They said that he'll be back after 8 games if he plays well. I complained earlier in this thread that they shouldn't have said the 8 games period in the first place. The Crunch team hasn't played that well, from the reports it seems that Brule has been one of the best players of Crunch so far.

If he plays well, yes.

MacKenzie and Pineault are playing better over this last stretch.

Regardless, If he's back, he's back. Hitch will fit him in somewhere.

So, who will play first center? Bru or McKenzie?
