So what's this make the lines now?

Whitney // Staal // Cole
Stillman // Brind'Amour // Walker
Ladd // Hamilton // LaRose
Adams // Brookbank // Letowski

Gleason // Commodore
Kaberle // Wesley
Borer // Seidenberg

That's some painful looking lines.

Thank goodness. The future is now, Casey. Get it done. If anybody from Albany deserved a call up it's Borer. He has been effective all year long.

I'm dying to see how he does.

To be honest though, with those lines we're still deeper than just about every other team in the division. Our Top 6 forwards are still probably the best out there. We just need more consistant defense and more consistant goaltending and we should be able to pull out some wins. I really want to see Borer in action and see what he can do to help turn this around.

nice.

i know he's put up some points but thats not really who he is. more of a strong skating stay at home type, make the first pass out of the zone well. we need to start getting guys like this worked in - we're old. developing a few 3-6 type d men helps you save money to buy higher 1-2 guys when time comes.

Great point. Something other smaller-market teams (like Buffalo for example) have done very well and enabled them to field quality w/o scrambling the whole payroll.

Awesome to hear. I wonder if he'll get some PK time, seeing as it can't get any worse than it is

I bet he'll be paired with Wesley (when he plays ... I don't expect a regular shift out there) ... I think that'd be too much pressure on Seidenberg to anchor a pairing with a guy playing his first game.

Cullen was on the Ice 12/31 albeit only about 5 minutes, Wade is a D -Man.

Personally I d like to see as the top 3

Stillman/Staal/Larose
Whitney/Cullen/Walker
Ladd/Brind'Amour/Cole

I think having Still and Staal together is more key to our successs than Cole and Staal , Maybe Cole can step things up with Rod who needs someone to fill the void Williams leaves.

Cullen is out indefinetly now and Brookbank can be used as a D or forward.

So I'm guessing:

Stillman-Brind'Amour-Walker
Whitney-Staal-Cole
Ladd-Hamilton-LaRose
Adams-Letowski-Brookbank

Commodore-Seidenberg
Kaberle-Gleason
Wesley-Borer

As for Borer, very excited to have him here. Can't wait to see what he's got. Maybe some fresh new energy will spark this team.

Call me ignorant but I can find nowhere that mentions that Cullen out , he was in the lineup the last game - I was there.
From Canes Website
NOTES: Matt Cullen returned after missing two games with a concussion but left again after the first period after feeling ill.

No reason to believe he won't be on the Ice tonight.

You know what, you are rather ignorant.

You didn't even tried to find information, but it is right here in this forum.

Have you tried to look into Injury thread? Before posting and questioning your fellow fans check injury thread and you are likely to find information you need on players with the source links attached.

Cullen is out indefinitely per Peter Laviollete.

Well you can be quite ignorant and since you don't like finding information for yourself here ya go:
Quote:
Cullen has been told to stay away from the rink after making it through only four minutes of ice time Monday night.

While the team continues to say Cullen has an "illness," the evidence indicates beyond a shadow of a doubt that Cullen did in fact suffer a concussion when he was on the receiving end of Colton Orr's fearsome hit a week ago.

Now, he's back to square one as far as his recovery is concerned.

"He wasn't seeing things right and didn't feel well," Laviolette said. "Now we'll give him time and rest.

"There will be some sort of regimen where we'll wait until he feels good walking around, then feels good working out off the ice, then feels good working out hard off the ice, then practicing hard."

TSN finally got around to creating his profile and has him listed as having a career potential of a Top 4 defenseman. I know that TSN scouting reports have been debated since the start of time but his seems to be right on the money. It feels exciting to have a prospect defenseman again. When was the last time we could say that about anybody we developed? Tanabe?

As much as I want Casey back with the Rats, in his limited time in the AHL, I think he has shown that he is NHL caliber. Enjoy this kid, he is the real deal.

Pretty much what'd you expect from a young defenseman. He's sound defensively most of the time, and he reads the play well. Has been caught pinching a couple times, but overall, he's probably one of our better AHLers.

Frankly, he doesn't even look like a rookie out there. The guy just doesn't make mistakes that often. His offensive game isn't what he'll be known for in the NHL, but he's good enough at moving the puck that he'll likely get some time on the 2nd powerplay unit.
