Jagr trade détails

It is done! Jaromir Jagr takes the direction of Big APPLE, in return Capitals receive the services of Anson Carter, in addition to seeing itself relieved 20 of the 45 remaining millions on the contract of the large Czech. The teams waited for the NHL approbation, before the official annoncememt. After months of speculation, it seems that Jaromir Jagr is finally a Ranger. The negotiations between the two camps were difficult rightup to the end, but concluded at 16:00 this afternoon. The result is a rather rigorous financial year. In order to pass to Rangers, Jaromir Jagr would have accepted a salary cut of a million per year for the next four seasons, without guarantee for the fifth and last season. It can be on the other hand guaranted if he manages to fill one of the three following conditions. -- 40 goals or 90 points in one season, and Rangers successfully win first round of playoffs or 80 goals or 180 points in the two last years of contract and Rangers win two rounds in series. If Rangers win the Stanley Cut or Jagr is given a major individual honor in the 3 last years of contract Capitals agree to pay approximately half of the wages of ten million Jaromi Jarg during four next years. With 16 goals and 29 goals

This is disappointing. I think we could have done this deal with someone like Zednik.

I don't know if I believe that. He was pretty good when he was the captain in Pittsburgh. I don't think he'd be too unhappy playing with Saku and it would have only been a $3 mil. dollar increase in payroll each year for the next four years.

You need all types of players to make a winning team. It just so happens that goalscorers are different animals.

Would have been a nice pickup imo, but then I don't know the guy.
