This is obviously the first post of rt's you've read.

Your second point doesn't even warrant a response.

Do you think this may happen? Will Jagr be gone before the end of the season?

Yeah, I can't see that proposal getting a great deal of love from my fellow Coyote fans. Jagr is an elite talent who's best years are behind him but he just doesn't fit into Maloney's vision of the Phoenix franchise.

I know Doan is either loved or hated on these boards but he better fits into the team concept type game that Phoenix is playing right now. He's also signed to a very reasonable long-term contract and there's no pressure really to move him at this point in time. If Doan wants to go to a legitimate contender than I could see it happening but I just don't see a fit with the Rangers; especially for that package. Maybe if there's a 3rd team involved (Edmonton?) but how often does that type of transaction ever really happen.

That brings us to Jovo and I don't think it's much of a secret that Phoenix is willing to move Jovo if the right scenario presented itself. That being said, overall Jovo has been good this season. I don't think Phoenix is going to just dump him at this point.

So which part was I wrong about? The proposal being poorly thought out, or Coyotes fans turning it down? I haven't seen a single Coyotes fan who has said he would accept the trade, so I'm going to assume that you feel this proposal was well thought out.

Which makes this...

Thanks for that.
...more than a little confusing.

Also, to say that, in this thread, I'm "once again praising the likely most overrated player in the last decade" strikes me a little odd, considering that the only thing I've said about Doan in this thread is that he's a hick, with a bunch of kids, and a ranch that would be out of place in New York City.

Now, I may know next to nothing, but apparently, out of the two of us, I'm the only one able to read and understand English properly. I could be wrong about that, though. Considering how little I know.

this is pretty old. i think the rumor came from some (obviously drunk) guys on czech tv, no way any of this would happen. The only thing i can see going to phx is montoya, but what would come the other way? Mueller?

I really don't know why people are dead set on reviving shot down Eklund rumors.

Is the rumor mill really that slow?

Just so you know, RT is one of the most informed posters on this boards.

And, Doan is underrated if anything. He doesn't put up gaudy point totals but there is basically no aspect of the game he doesn't do well.

Cynical Tyrant is entitled to his opinion of Shane Doan...even if Cynical Tyrant is Sean Avery's username on HF Boards

The Yotes would not touch this. Doan just signed a long term deal and Jovo has been doing well this year (so I hear). Jagr can become a UFA his offseason and I don't know if he and Gretz would get along. Jagr can be a frustrating player to coach. Rozsival is a UFA and Prucha can be a decent player and may be the only player the Yotes may be interested in. I also doubt Jagr would be enthusiastic about going to a team currently rebuilding.
