True enough. He is a topper for certain. I think he is just one of our great kids though. Obviously the best so far without a doubt but you have to tip the old bean to Squid for his 3 points in three games. He is being given the kind of ice time that Comrie recieved when he started with the Oilers and he is responding in kind. Great to see them panning out.
I hope also that Dustin Brown will now start finding the net a bit easier. He has the skills and now that his monkey is off to the zoo maybe he will start putting the puck in the twine more often. Even if he doesn't though, he is having a great first year.
We may have a long way to go but the kids are sure top drawer and will make it a shorter trip.
The future definitely looks brighter than it ever has before. On a side note, I'm so glad you're here Punchy. Every one of your posts contains some interesting tidbit for me to figure out, "topper", "old bean". I love it.
No worries. I have had it pointed out that I use the phrase "good on ya" a little too often. It is funny but I never really thought that there was a language barrier between the two countries but, in the few weeks I have been here I can see that there is.
The funny thing is that sometimes you lot speak too fast for me to get. That, and I was in a spanish resturaunt and even though I am bloody sure that the bloke was speaking straight english I had no idea what he said. I said yes and I think I ate a toungue of some animal. Nasty business that. Other than that I am learning allot of American slang and it is going to be fun to have a piss at my mates when I get home with some of it.
I can't wait to see how well some of our college atheletes are doing in a year or two. I read on the college stickymabob that we have some real dandy lads there.
As for the dreaded "good on ya mate" lucky, lets just say no worries and Roberts your fathers brother. (bobs your unlce )
