if a game happens and it's not on TV, does it really happen?

Given this season's rollercoaster status, I am predicting a big fat W for tonight's game. Therefore:

Norrena was extremely sharp tonight.
The defense played well if front of him.
Why can't Nash play like this every game?
Refs almost cost us the game.

Lines for tonight

Nash-Novotny-Z
Chimera-Peca-Fritsche
Lindstrom-Feds-Murray
Shelley-Malhotra-Boll

Foote-Hejda
Klesla-Hainsey
Russell-Westcott

Norrena

Scratches: Beech, Glencross, OKT

My only question is why do we keep playing Shelley 3-5 min a game, when we can have Glencross in the line-up who is at least a mild threat to score...

The most obvious answer is that Glencross has been a bad, bad, boy and is getting some time to reflect in timeout...

I don't think it's that. I think he's been less effective since he had to wear the full mask, however, which I can't blame him for.

Action02: You're going to be asking that question a lot. Trust me. To save your sanity, just assume you've asked it before every game, and assume you've received an answer that pleases you.

Oh, and since I haven't done a horrible prediction in a while, I'll say Z, Chimera and Nash all score tonight

Nash just had a hot night two games ago. His next solid effort is penciled in for sometime next week, if he feels up to it.

We are a sensitive bunch around here....all outsiders now preamble their posts with "I'm not trolling" eh.... Good luck to you guys as well....the last I checked your boys know how to put up some goals, I hope we don't need 10 to win tonight. If we get 3 or 4 on the road it will be like winning the Stanley Cup....

Shut down Frolov and Nagy, we'll win.

Blue Jackets 4 (Nash 2, Zherdev, Klesla)
Kings 3 (Kopitar, Brown, Nagy)

Slightly strained his groin...again.

Jackets 5, Kings 1.

LA remembers Freddy and tries to deal for him.
We'll take Cammalleri please.

Jared Boll Fight Probability
Los Angeles Kings - 01/03/2008

Factors:
Opposing Roster:
Los Angeles has bona fide heavyweight Raitis Ivanans as well as middleweights Dustin Brown, Scott Thornton, and John Zeiler.

History:
There have been no fights between Columbus and Los Angeles in the two previous games this season. Columbus is winning the season series 2-0.

Other factors:
I am confident that Boll's punching hand is injured. He has shied away from fighting against both Edmonton and Anaheim recently. Columbus is playing its second game of a back-to-back.

Conclusion:
If there is a fight, it will probably be Shelley squaring off against Ivanans. Like many other teams, Los Angeles has fewer total fighting majors than Jared Boll alone. As well, Columbus played last night in Anaheim and may be tired. These factors in addition to Jared Boll's probably-injured hand lead me to believe that Boll is not likely to drop the mitts tonight.

Probability:
30%
