This is a complete joke. I can't think on anything else to say. A complete joke.

I'm pretty sure he can't be selected. Isn't he on his second contract?

you know as much about Spezza's contract as Leaf fans do about hockey.

I guess his 31 pts (15g) aren't star material? Maybe the Dallas fans voted him off?

More bull**** from the NHL.

Spezza is CLEARLY eligible. He's 20 and he's on his first NHL contract. I don't care what they say about politics (trying to have 1 representative from each team) but he BELONGS on that team.

he didn't get in the game cuz of 3 sens already made the all star team
and teams like Edmonton, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Chicago didn't have anyone make the AS game, so Spezza was left out for other younger players

Thats what I think and unless he blows away people next season, I think he will be a lock for next year. But then again, with this years roster, he could have been named for the All-Star team this year.

Sorry 'bout that. Although you seem to know as much about being polite as ignorant Sens fans (the good ones are great to discuss with, those who take cheap jabs at others are not).

It is not impossible he don't want to go, so they go with players who want to be there. If you have a small injury the choice between playing or resting shouldn't be that hard.

Just because Zetterberg was in the game last year doesn't mean he can't play this year. Jordan Leopold was in the Young Guns game last year and is back this year. I guess there was a wide selection of forwards and they wanted to give new guys a chance in the game?

I would've loved to see Hemsky and Zherdev play together, with Spezza carrying Team East, but hey, I guess that's why I don't make the rosters.

Says it right there. NHL wants to keep teams happy by having some representatives at some part of All-Star Weekend. Overrepresentation is not what they're after, no matter how much some deserve to go.

Well, it's bull**** that Marc-Andre Fleury isn't there. Sure, statistic-wise, Raycroft is better, but Fleury is on the Pens, so his stats shouldn't even be looked at.

Jason King should also be there, he lead all rookie's in scoring for quite a while. Sure he isn't scoring now but he should still be there.

it was said b4 that Fluery is being saved for later and this is probably Raycroft's last chance to be in the young stars game

and King is in the AHL right? (i was sure i heard that in another thread)
