Yes Tank Tank Tank

I believe that this month will be it, the cream is rising to the top

We SUCK

leaf mgmt decides the it is over

1. Trade Sundin To Ana for Edmontons 1st + Bobby Ryan (or a lower level prospect) OR To Detroit for Kindle and a 1st

2. Trade Kaberle to a team willing to give up 2 hi prospects or a hi 1st and a prospect

3 Trade Kubina to chicago for Jack Skille

What Iam talking about is completely gutting this team from top to bottom

Once the sky is falling everyone with a no trade will remove it

We should try to load up on pics for the next 2 ys maybe 5 first round pics

Then build back up with free agent signing and not the 7 mill dollar players

3 and 4 million dollar player (and this means you will not receive a no trade or no movement clause) from toronto

O and get ride of Jfj before all this happens Mr peddie and no not peddie making these decissions

Free agency is the least effective way of obtaining a star player IMO.

Favourites...

Luke Schenn - Pro: He's awesome. Con: Reminds me of Luc Bourdon.
Steven Stamkos - Pro: Super talent. Con: Nothing.
Colin Wilson - Pro: All around player. Con: Wouldn't take him in the top 10.

I like...

Nikita Filatov - Pro: Tremendous skill. Con: Iffy about Russian players.
Mikkel Boedker - Pro: Tremendous skill. Con: Iffy about Danish players.
Zach Bogosian - Pro: Big, strong, vicious, talented. Con: Didn't make US WJC team.

I agree that if Sundin allows us to trade him, we should trade him to ANA or DET. Preferably ANA, as Ryan is a talented forward it seems, and Kindl we don't really need as we seem to have a huge amount of d-men already. Before we trade Kaberle, which I don't necessarily agree that we should do. Anyways, before you get rid of Kaberle, I think players like Tucker need to go before Kaberle, and if you want to get rid of Kubina, trade Kubina before you trade Kaberle.

In a rebuild Kubina and/or McCabe might not be bad to have around. They are good D-men, just overpaid for what they bring. With more young players, we should have more cap. No use dumping them for little to nothing now, when we can hold on to them and have them go somewhere else with a year or two left on their deals for a much better return while we will still likely be rebuilding. Kaberle's value should be higher now than both of those two and we still need to allow our younger D-men to play the role he has anyways.

I wouldn't mind a trade with Detroit if we could get Darren Helm as part of the deal. He could be a great shutdown forward in a few years time, and he would be a nice compliment to the smallish skilled forwards the Leafs have drafted recently.

I am definitely in the tank frame of mind. Best case scenario we come 6th/7th? Does anyone really believe we have a chance to win the whole thing from there?

For the record, I'd like to engage in some nice discussion about how Luke Schenn is a better NHL Prospect then Drew Doughty. Any takers?

He played as well (if not better) than Doughty IMO at the WJC's, but Doughty will be the better defenseman in the future.

Not a knock on Schenn at all though, he was a MONSTER.

I'm excited. Leafs sit 27th in the league now, with games in hand on some. 28th is only one point back. 29th is only two points back. But really, anywhere near the bottom is ample.

I support tanking wholeheartedly, but please, when we play Ottawa, Philadelphia, Buffalo and Montreal, don't come out looking like a bag of dicks.

I can't believe I was happy when Philly scored the 3rd goal tonight. But it's time for a change. We can not keep the mediocrity. We need to rebuild from the bottom up.

Well with Toskala still out and a western road trip upcoming, this team could potentially be around 28th or 29th at the end of the week. Now normally I'd be against the team losing, but after watching the talent pool of some of the younger prospects in the WJC, getting one or two of these high end draft picks would really brighten the future outlook for this team. And the value we could get back by holding a firesale...

Those are the games we really need to get blown out in. The sting is almost unbearable for Fergy.
