There's no way a guy like Balej who's skinny as a rail and doesn't have a thick base to work with, who had trouble adding weight prior to this summer adds 15lbs of muscle by training intensively.

Another reason I'm skeptical about this is because he doesn't look all that much bigger than I've seen in past years, and 15lbs of muscle would be noticeable.

i just wanted to quote u bro, 15lbs over the summer is absolutely completely plausible. weve had a thread very similar to this one, instead it was about ribeiro. when u start working out, especially intensively, it's easy to add muscle weight, because ur starting out, it's when ur very developped that it becomes really difficult. i know guy, cuz ive gained a lot of weight in a very short period of time (20lbs in about 4 months) and i didnt take anything. so there's nothing impressive about 15lbs in 3 months. besides think about it, what's 15lbs to a guy that's 6'1? it's not much, not much at all. chances are, it was all in the legs, where it's easiest to develop mass.

Again I don't want to be rude, but this has been covered. Three things:

1) I'm talking 15lbs of muscle. Not just 15lbs. Anyone can add 15lbs, but not of pure muscle.

2) Covered the part of beginner bodybuilders being able to add muscle mass quickly the first month or two. Balej has been trying to add muscle for years, so this does not apply.

3) Height matters little in capacity to put on weight. Thickness and body frame matters more. That's why you'll see Bouillon is more able to add weight than Brisebois or Traverse, or Balej.

Considering Gilles Thibodeau, Jason Ward and Stéphane Lebeau dominated at that level, I'm not confident yet...

Altough I have respect for Savard's scouting skills.

You people are nuts, 15 pounds of PURE MUSCLE in 3 month is rediculous. Please, I don't care what people post, go see a doctor, a team doctor better, someone who specialize in that type of thing, cause it's impossible.
