We've only one game in SJ, and that was in overtime. Now is as good a time as any to get the first one in regulation. 3-2 Jax

I think the Jackets are done with the inconsistency in winning.... Hitch has found some players who needed to be scratched and the team is moving past Vyborny and Modin....we don't need those two to win now....

I think the Jackets are going to win tonight and start a string of 4 or 5....

Puck rakers has the lines as

Nash - Novotny - Zherdev
Chimera - Peca - Fritsche
Murray - Fedorov - Lindstrom
Shelley - Malholtra - Boll

Glenner and Beech are the healthy scratches.

No word on whether Ole is back in on D.

This is the kind of game folks (fans) hope to win but don't expect to win. It will be a big feel-good is the Jackets can take this one.

The Sopcast listing shows the Rangers are playing against Oilers at the same time as the Blue Jackets. It's likely that we will see the Rangers and not the Jackets.

I do hope I'm wrong!

Nice job on the GDT beba91!
I hope they didn't pay their designer a lot of $$ for that arena.
My vCash will be on the boys again tonight.

Metro Boards is having there pre-CAHL scrimmage tonight at the Ice Haus. Several people said they were coming to watch the game at the bar afterwards. Hope to see some of you here, should be a great game to watch.

I hope your right. I'll say the Jackets win 3-2 tonight with goals from Chimmer, Z, and Hainsey.

Hey goaliemon...after following your instructions, the URL doesn't seem to work. Is it because it doesn't start to stream until game time?

It sucks because i have CI online and I can't use it at work. Usually I listen to the game on XM, but I might be able to get away with watching it this way

You mean the URL in step 3?

When you click that link, it should launch sopcast channel 22668. The Sopcast screen should be black. You will be watching the game through VLC Player.

Right now on VLC Player....you should see the US/Sweeden Game from NHL Network.

After I put the URL in and click OK, it comes up with an error window saying:

Unable to open 'http://127.0.0.1:8902'

Come in the chat room at http://www.hockeysfuture.com/pjirc/c...anced&chan=cbj and I'll help you out; easier then responding with posts.

Make sure that you have Sopcast up and running and make sure that you have clicked on the link in step 3 before you enter 127.0.0.1:8902 into the URL box on the VLC Player.

Who would they take out if Ole is back. I am thinking Westcott probably.

It would most likely be Westcott.

We really need this game. A win tonight would be huge.

For the record we would be two points out of 5th place in the east.

Every game is critical.... but to me, the Sharks are the kind of team we need to be able to beat on the road OCCASIONALLY to prove we are legit.

Up against a good team tonight. Need a few guys to bring their 'A' game.
Jackets 3, Sharks 2.

Jared Boll Fight Probability
San Jose Sharks - 1/05/08

Factors:
Opposing Fighters (Fights):
Active: Murray (6), Bernier (4), Davison (3), Rivet (3), McLaren (2), Marleau (1).
Injured: Semenov (2), Clowe (1), Norton (1).

History:
There have been no fights between Columbus and San Jose this season. Columbus is winning the season series 1-0.

Other factors:
Jared Boll hasn't fought in three consecutive games. It has been a week since his supposed hand injury while fighting Tim Gleason, so his hand is likely better at this point.

Conclusion:
While his hand may be better and while the Sharks may be full of palatable middleweights, Boll's play of recent suggests that he's turned a new leaf - a New Years' resolution, perhaps. It has been paying off - he had his first multi-point game on Thursday against Los Angeles. If this offensive production continues, look for Boll to be involved in less fights over the course of the rest of the year - this game included.

Probability:
25%

San Jose isn't impressive at home, I'd say our chances are good

Glencross and OKT are both listed as injured, otherwise Columbus has too many players on the roster. Nothing wrong with either one of them but Lidstrom and Murray are emergency
callups and could not stay if these two were not labelled as injured.
