NHL Cities with Local Sports Radio Internet Listening List

We can rebuild it. We can make it better then what it was.

The idea: To have the ability to listen in on a local sports radio show on the internet when your team either trades a player to a new team or your team is playing that day and you just want to listen in on what they are saying about the upcoming game.

The Problem: Not all Sports Radio stations/shows have internet listening. 1060 KDUS is the flagship station of the Phoenix Coyotes, but they do not have internet listening.

The Solution: There are two other radio stations with local shows in the Phoenix area that does have internet listening. Therefore, links will be provided to those stations/shows.

The pre and post game host is also on the afternoon drivetime show. Not much hockey talk, but they will always take a question about hockey.

thx for the link ... it is not important to get the game on internet radio ... NHL.com provides that for every game ... this threads is about getting local sports radio shows. Say a trade happens between the Maple Leafs and Lightning. Wouldn't it be great for a Tampa Bay fan to listen in on Toronto's take of the trade? I think so.

I just checked and the streaming from our #1 local sports radio is still not working due to CHEAPNESS of the station owners. We only have one DJ who talks hockey ever anyway, although he is entertaining with his wrongness. I think you all can easily figure out what they DO talk about!!

TBL = only NHL team with no game broadcasts on the internet

Oh well, I stickied this, could come in handy! I'll leave it stickied at least until it's as complete as possible.

The sports talk station in Philly, 610 WIP, also carries Flyers games, and they do not stream, so Philly is a N/A. However you can hear the games off of 610 via the "listen live" link at NHL.com.

Boston Bruins radio is WBZ, 1030-AM, but to my knowledge, it doesn't have streaming audio from its own site. But I know you can listen to the B's games from nhl.com using the WBZ feed (I did it a couple times last season while I was stuck at work late).

As I live in the UK, internet radio is pretty much my only access to Islander games (barring the rare occasion Channel5 shows a NYI game on TV).

ESPN1050 AM

Not sure if theres is a website for them - I access the game broadcast thru the www.nhl.com website ( http://nhl.com/intheslot/listen/radio/index.html )

Just to let you all know one more time ...

We are not looking for national sports hsows or game broadcasts.

We are looking for local shows so we can hear what people from that city think of trades and what the game will be like.

Say Buffalo trades Marty Biron to the Colorado Avalanche. Some fan in Denver might want to listen in on what the people and radio hosts of Buffalo think of that deal.

More for Pittsburgh

Fox Sports-http://www.970theburgh.com/main.html

ESPN- http://www.wtaeradio.com/

EDIT* I just saw this on wtae's site...

ESPN Radio 1250- along with all other ABC radio stations -- has temporarily suspended our live Internet broadcast. ABC is rebuilding its internet streaming infrastructure in order to handle all of the many Digital Rights Management issues that have emerged as internet radio has developed. We are a leader in this area and we take our leadership role very seriously. Our streams will be back when all of these issues have been resolved.

This is a great idea! I take back all those nasty things I've said about the Coyotes.
