That is hard to believe since Boston is a major city and has a lot of fans all over the world and this country. I hope some sports station gets on the ball there soon.

Hurricanes radio

From a quick scan of the thread it appears no one has weighed in here re the Hurricanes.

There are two hockey shows on Mondays in season on 850 "The Buzz" in Raleigh. At 10 am, Hurricanes voice Chuck Kaiton does a 1-hour show called "The Buzz on Ice," usually with guests from around the league (last week VanHellemond was on). It's actually quite good for a nouveau hockey market. Canes GM Jim Rutherford does a Monday 5:05 "Front Office Access" - about a 20 minute segment with questions from host and email questions.

Now that I've shared all of that, it appears that 850 no longer has internet listen live function (they did previously). I do not know of any other hockey sports talk shows in the area (other than a post-game "Aftermath" following games on the same station - which is of course, not available via Internet. Ironically, the local sports station doed not have the contract for game coverage - that went to two local FM stations.

So I guess I "buried the lead."
