Shin Pads

I just bought my first pair of shin pads and they feel really big at the knee. The length fits me fine but I'm wondering is it just me or are all shin pads like that. They are Hespeler GX 700 btw.

thanks

They're made like that to make room of future knee braces. Seriously, I have CCM's and can't say they are huge / loose in the knee's
