Bring up the Huge Specimen for a game or two
I see no reason why not?

With a head injury, it's always "indefinitely."

You 're right, but... Hossa is a workhorse, while Dawes is a parasite. Each could be successful in its own way, but either one is a fraction of what Starka brings. Tough &@#T, man. May be we can afford to bring scoring a little down at this time... We simply don't have a better choice. No help from HFD (other then those who need a lot of teaching to go through) and goalie can't steal. The only hope is get back to defense and hope for lucky bounce on the PP... In this case playing Hossa on first is a safer choice. The other though is Gomez and Jagr are strong enough to support Dawes "welfare".

Straka really injected some life into this team with his return. Not good.

Huge Specimen never gets old.

Seriously without Straka this team has about as much chance as a blind man picking out good porno. Ok bad analogy, however Straka is the heart and soul of this team. He is the only guy who gives 110% effort every night, every day, every week all year.

Is there any news on Shanahan? What's his current status?

well knowing renney I wont be shocked to see Hossa with Gomez and Jagr to start the game vs the Bolts

From today's Daily News:

Quote:
WAIT AND SEE: Avery was placed on seven-day injured reserve (retroactive to Saturday) because of chronic pain in his right wrist - aggravated by a slash in the Dec. 30 game....Straka (concussion) hopes to ride a stationary bike today and has not been ruled out of Saturday's game against Montreal.
Straka could be back shortly.
