Would we want Forsberg back if he's available?

Saw the story the other day that Forsberg might be getting healthy enough to give it one more try this year. Do we want him if he's available? Who would you send to the AHL?

I 'll answer this very simply: Hell Yes! and he would not come here this year. SO it doesn't matter anyway.

Absolutely. Anyone who remembers his play with us in his brief stay in Nashville would likely agree. He was one of the few guys who actually showed up for us in the playoffs.

Anyway, the real question is, is if Forsberg comes back, would he even consider here? I'm thinking not a chance.

Yes. How many centers we have is not a question. You make room for Forseberg. Move Arnott to wing.

I too doubt Forseberg would come back here, but maybe there's a small chance. I haven't thrown in the towel on this season yet, standings are still pretty close.

Absolutely agree. Injury prone or not, the buzz he created on and off the ice makes it worthwhile.

You STILL see people wearing Forsberg Preds jersies at games.

if you have a chance to get Forsberg, you get Forsberg.

At least if you're not the one paying the bills.

I don't know what he'd cost. If reasonable it could be a way for the new ownership to show they'd pony up to make a push in/for the playoffs.

I don't think we're good enough to need that one guy in the playoffs, but he could help get us there. I sure like watching him play and it may get me down to the ice a couple extra games. May bring my dad in from Michigan too, although he'll probably come down for his usual two second half games no matter who's on the ice.

You absolutely get Forsberg if at all possible. If the owners intend to raise payroll this season in order to show a commitment for the future they would be wise to throw some money at him if for nothing else than for the buzz and attendence boost it created last year. That alone would be worth the money.

Also he seemed to click really well with Rads last year and brought him out of that midseason slump. Not that Rads is struggling right now by any means but it couldn't hurt.

It wasn't that horrible of a trade. Yes we flamed out in the playoffs, but that was hardly a result of the Forsberg trade. At the time, we had a full, healthy lineup. Soon after, we got decimated with injuries and never played the same.

Yes we didn't get our intended result (far from it actually), but you cannot blame Poile for making a deal like that. We had the talent and should have gone farther then we did. Had Poile not gone for a player, we'd all be cursing him for not making a splash. Being so conservative for so long allows you make risky moves like he did.

I would do that trade every day just for the one game where he scored the OT winner against Detroit.

I remember his first shift people were cheering just for getting on the ice and every move he made people were oohhing and ahhing.

I was kind of hoping he would retire so he could retire from the NHL as a Predator!

I don't think he would come back here with this team (unless we suddenly make some big jump in the standings and soon) but I would love to have him back. I just think he's looking at more 'cup run' teams than bubble teams to just make the playoffs.

In just the short time he was here you could see the effect he had on guys like Radulov and really helped them out so I would welcome him back for sure.
