Speaking about that Belle Province, if anyone wants a free umbrella, I left mine there a few months ago. Just ask for a black umbrella...

Dammit. All this poutine talk has me craving one. Unfortunately the only places I know that sell it are Harveys and the cafeteria at my old highschool. Being 24, I'm not sure that's a great place to head to.

edit: NY Fries! Anyone know whether they're any good?

Yeah but do you know why??!
Cuz we got the cups that's why.
2 words!
Stanley ****ing cups.

Toranna, Detroit, Carolina...
They can have all the hockey they want.
They can have a big friking parade down the hall of fame..
That won't make a lick of difference!!
CUZ WE GOT THE CUPS.

The Rocket's not dead. He'z frozen.
And as soon as we find a cure for cancer,
We're gonna thaw out Richard..
And he's gonna be pretty pissed off.
Why?
Well.. have you ever taken a cold shower, multiply that by 15 million times,
That's how pissed of the rocket's gonna be.
We're gonna get the rocket, and Gros Bill, and the Flower..
And a case of Molson ex and we're gonna drive all around Ste-Cat street

Well if you looked at my location, I live in Ontario. We don't have government regulations stopping us from being fat ****s.

Poutine is dieing in QC! We need some life support here. Better quality cheese, better quality fries, and especially better quality sauce. Some places their poutine is so bad it's inexcusable.
La belle Province never represented QC poutine in any way, shape or form. Its a crappy place at best. (imo) Ashton is still the shizzle.

The best poutine is a well kept secret!

PA Vachon building at Laval University. This poutine is stupidly good.(so much so that I'm still studying.lol)

La Banquise is highly overrated. Sure they have all kind of poutine but the quality isn't as great as people think. And yeah La Belle Province disapointed me the last time I went there for a good ol'fashioned poutine. And I still wounder where is THE PLACE for poutine in MTL.

Help

Poutine at Belle Province varies from location to location.

The cleaner the location and farther away from downtown, the better the poutine from my experiences.

The only minus about those is the horrible breath you have afterwards.

Nice, another vote for a Temiscamingue's poutine, the best kept secret around! However, driving south for 25 minutes would have been enough to taste La Gauloise's delicious poutine.

Ashton's is not bad, but far from the best. Overrated And it's really expensive also.

For variety, Banquise is good, but its not the best poutine really.

For a good normal old fashion poutine:

Cantine Bernard on the 116 near Ste-Madeleine
Chez Lussier in St-Hyacinthe.

I am still looking for that elusive good poutine on the island of Montreal.
