Modry

With Gonchar getting hurt, Modry may draw some interest from other teams needing a decent pp guy. Who would be a good fit for him and what can we get.

Would Modry and Steckel to Toronto for Colaiacovo sound resonable?

No.

Modry might be able to fetch a 2nd rounder from a very desperate team but I don't see anybody dealing away any of their top prospects for the guy.

He's not getting traded while we're still in the playoff race.

True my proposals are poor, but it doesn't change the fact that other teams may be making bids for him. All things being equal, it wouldn't suprise me if they moved one of their defensemen. Modry being a ufa and Corvo being a disappointment this year could both be moved. Tampa is looking for D and they have a prospect Holmqvist from Sweden, looks like a student for Norstrom. He's already over in NA and may be someone worth looking at. Just an idea.

modry would get a good exchange...he's a off D man who's able to log over 20 min a game....his value shouldnt realy be affected by gonchar's injury because he'll be back in less than a month...well before the deadline
