Dom Moore on Waivers

Dominic Moore was placed on waivers by the Wild. I loved him when he was on the Rangers, great hustler and penalty killer...should Slats put in a claim? Is it worth it? Do we have room? What do you guys think?

Who would you replace? He's a center.

I think we need offensive guns more than defensive specialists.

I don't see where Moore would fit in, but he's not a bad player at all.

exactly my thought. He doesn't fill any needs of ours. Plus we have more defensive centers w/ higher offensive ability in the AHL

If he doesn't get picked up, are his parents going to sue the Wild for ending his NHL career?

I don't find this funny. What Bertuzzi did was disgusting and has no place in Hockey for it. He should be locked up. That poor kid had his dream taken away from him way to soon.

I have no respect for Bertuzzi after what he did. After the way Moore has tried to manipulate this lawsuit, I've lost all respect for him too.

Sign him up and get Hollwig off the ice till he learns how to stay out of the box. Oh, wait... Hollwig is our 1st line winger getting top tier ice time with Orr and Betts... thanks Tom!

So then bench the worthless Prucha like we did with Cally? Besides, wo bad penalties all year from the player that hits more the aany forward on the team (and 5th in the NHL) is acceptable in my book

I'd actually love for them to bring Moore back, get rid of Hollweg or Orr, honestly. Moore is a hustler, gotta like that. He and Jed were the best together.

I think bringing him back would be a good move if possible. He can fill a spot on the PK when guys like Avery or Shanny are injured, and I think a little bit of competitiveness with his brother also in the organization, wouldn't hurt either.

Not sure if you're serious or not..but Greg and Dom aren't brothers.

Renney beat you to it. He practically benched Prucha ever since he had the audacity to score two goals a couple of games back. The big difference between Prucha and Cally is that Prucha has actually proven that he can score at this level. Cally hasn't. Prucha needs more minutes, not more mind games. FWIW, however, I agree with you on Hollweg. He does what he is here to do and he does it well. If his name wasn't on the league's watch list, I doubt half of his penalties would have been called.

I actually wouldnt mind if Sather tried to bring him back. Might really add bit of a spark to the 4th line. We definitely dont need Orr playing all 82 games out there!

And just because Moore is a center, doesn't mean he cant play wing. Not to mention he'd help the PK a lot and maybe take the load off someone like Shanahan/Straka in that role.

and by the effort, heart, guts and game they have displayed for the last 10 games or so, they would deserve it......Unlike most of the other guys on the team...

Moore was waived to make room for Koivu's return from injury tonight against Chicago.

Moore actually had a very good game last night against the Wings. Came close to scoring the winning goal late in a tie game.

And why not? The 4th line has out worked the other 3 lines for a month straight now, I am not being serious with Orr or Hollweg playing more then they are but they have played well. Anyone else notice that after the 2 goals they actually lost ice time in the second? They barely played and the Ranger had no forecheck at all and gave up 3.

There's no way the Rangers are going to bring him back. He was a nice 4th liner when he was here but Blair Betts fills his role as a 4th liner and PKer.

Bring him back! He would be a big upgrade over Orr or Hollweg.
