One of my favourite non-Sabre prospects, but I don't know a great deal about him. I assume he's a potential top 6 power forward with a big shot who can hit, a bit like Dustin Brown? Am I way off with this?
Where do you see him playing in the future, how long before he's a regular?
He seems to be developing nicely with the Crunch. Has consistantly improved over time.
Real good numbers this year.
15 Adam Pineault RW GP 40 G 10 A 16 Pts 26 +3 PIM 42 PPG 2 SHG 3 Pt/G 0.65 Pim/G 1.05
I haven't followed him real closely, but it sounds like most of the HFers with a good read on him think he is a possibility to make the big club next year, but probably a sure thing after 1 more season with the Crunch.
He's got good size and speed, and of course an awesome shot. His forte in the NHL will likely be as a third line player, with the potential to play the point on the PP.
He is a relentless PKer, so down the road if the NHL actually evolves the bottom six into specialists, Pineault would be a prototype. His shot would be money on the PP, his PKing, and 5 on 5 he's got the ability to play as a legit power forward and check.
I don't know if he has the offense that Brown has, but similar style.
