Flyers Defensive Pairings come playoff time?

Okay, we have enough defenseman now for the playoffs and the season assuming no one else gets majorly hurt. What are your thoughts about how the defense should line up come playoff time? Right now for me the following 5 guys are givens to be playing come playoff time:

Desjardins
Ragnarsson
Markov
Pitkanen
Johnsson

That leaves Timander and probably Vandermeer in the minors with the Phantoms, and Therien and Weinrich fighting for the last spot. Giving us:

Markov/Johnsson
Therien or Weinrich/Desjardins
Ragnarsson/Pitkanen

What do you guys think??

I don't know what they'll look like, but I'm sure Hitch has no idea either. The pairings I'd put together with the blueliners we have now are:
Desjardins-Markov
Weinrich-Johnsson
Ragnarsson-Pitkanen
Timander
I'd also leave them like that for the 2nd half of the season... enough with the musical lines. There's no opportunity for players to build chemistry with each other, until there's chemistry, the Flyers will only be a collection of players and not a real TEAM.

Looks pretty damn good with just about any combination. Both posted pairings look solid.

Ragnarsson-Pitkanen
Sidenburg

Hackett, Timander, Therin, a 2nd round pick and a forward (Zeus) to Was for Kozig?

You don't think Weinrich is a lock for the playoffs??

Desjardins
Weinrich
Johnsson
Markov
Ragnarsson
Pitkanen

7th-Therien

Vandermeer, Seidenberg and Timander with the Phantoms

I totally agree with those pairings- but not sure they work as far as who prefers/plays better on which side. I also love how you left Therien's name OFF the list. Honestly- I'd rather see Timander, Vandermeer or Seidenberg (pending his leg's condition) ahead of Therien. Therien brings very little to the table and makes SO many mistakes. I can't believe Hitch is the first coach in this town to realize it.

Getting Therien off the line up is the thing I like most about the Markov deal

Actually no I don't consider Weinrich a lock for the playoffs, at least not as a starter. I wouldn't even put Ragnarsson on the list except that he plays so well with Pitkanen. I think whichever of the vets we now have including Timander, Weinrich and Therien that plays the best down the stretch is the guy who plays, and everyone I think can be put on a short leash. You screw up, you sit a game.
