I finally did an interview with him...Sounds like a solid kid...He could be a hockey commentator after his playing days as he was breaking down next year's Black Bears squad during the interview.
How has jack prince done this season for you and what league do you reckon he can make it to?
He is maybe the slowest skater I have ever seen. It's brutal to watch, but he always is in the right place at the right time. Jack scored 23 goals, and 27 assists. I think he will be back here next year, and from there I don't know.
More Tornado notes:
The Tornado have new ownership! The Texas Tornado and the Dallas Stars will be holding a press conference at the Dr. Pepper Arena this Friday. New changes are coming. Maybe the video boards will work next year.
Sucks that St. Louis and Texas don't play each other at all. Rivalry should have counted for something in schedule making.
I was hoping we could get back at ya a little bit . The guys who were on the team last year probably would want a couple of games against them. Wish they would've schedules a couple of games.
The Tornado win on Day 1 of the Chowder Cup. They beat the Hockey Talent Management Team 6-0. Axel Boyer scored 2 for Texas, along with a goal each from J.D Howard and Rock Einersen. Sam Locke and Ryan Walsh both combined for the shutout. Tomorrow the Tornado play the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers at 4 PM.

?? Is this their team? Or just some players that played last year? Did they have main camp already? If so when?

Some of the players on the team are playing in this, but the others are the under 18 team.
The Tornado win again on Day 2 of the Chowder Cup 8-1 against the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers. Seven different players for the Tornado scored today. Again Sam Locke and Ryan Walsh split the game again, both playing very strong. Goals came from Tornado tender Donald Olivieri, Jackson Leef added two goals and the other Tornado goals were scored by Spencer Svoboda, Jake Rosen, J.D. Howard, Tyler Rostenkowski and Tyler Mort. Tomorrow the Nado play the Eastern Eskimos at 2:30. The winner will advance to Sunday's medal round.

The Tornado are on to the medal round! They rally to beat the Eastern Eskimos 3-1 Saturday afternoon. The Eskimos scored early on goalie Ryan Walsh, but that was quickly answered by Jackson Leef with under a minute remaining in the period. Then just 54 seconds into the 2nd period the Tornado took the lead on a goal by David Rigatti who played for the Tornado last season. The Tornado sealed the win on a goal by another Tornado vet J.D Howard. Sam Locke turned in another solid goaltender performance. He is yet to let in a goal at the Chowder Cup. 4 games tomorrow separates the Tornado from the Chowder Cup. Game 1 is at 7:00 AM against the winner of Bracket 9.
The Tornado fall in the opening playoff game 5-1 to the Northern Connecticut Wings. Coach Tony Curtale was pleased with his team's performance for never playing together as a team before the tournament. The lone Tornado goal was scored by Jackson Leef, his 3rd of the tourney. The Tornado went 3-1 while outscoring their opponents 18-7.
How do you think all these expansion teams are gonna do this season vs all the "established" teams....take for instance Texas' division there are 3 established teams 2 expansion and 1 half-half.

Hard to say, sometimes expansion teams do okay, other times they fall flat and do nothing. I say the 3 established teams make the playoffs, and one expansion team surprised and gets the 3rd seed.
1. Texas ( homer pick)
2. Topeka
3. Corpus Christi
4. Wichita Falls
5. New Mexico
6. Amarillo
But seriously I think the Tornado have the best shot to win the division this year. All depends on the expansion teams though, because you never really know with them.

I would probably go something like this:
1. Topeka
2. Texas
3. Corpus Christi
4. Wichita Falls (they lost Sheehan (sp?) big loss for them)
5. Amarillo
6. New Mexico
I know Topeka lost a lot but Texas lost Sullivan and he was huge. Tony's found good goalies repeatedly though so I guess we'll see. Every team has unknowns in that division. We'll see. Should be an interesting year to say the least.
Heard that the Tornado just hired the former GM of the Arizona Sundogs. Hope you guys will still have a team in a year, that's usually how long it takes him to destroy a franchise.

Who are you thinking of?? No, we have the same GM as last year, and he's been our GM for as long as the Tornado have existed, which is now 11 years.
