LOL! Just came back after a night in Berlin... Should have spend some more time, though.

What a joke.

Great work, Slats. You're "da man"...

Dunno... Should I cry or laugh? Help me, please.

I was listening the a webcast, and early in the game one of the NYR announcers was talking about the Hlavac-Nedved-Jagr line and said, and I quote:

I'm thinking "Yeah, Glen, good luck with that."

Also, to the poster who made the "bucket of pepper" comment - you win the thread, and are my new God.

Game woulda been a bit more entertaining if we played the 3rd period with six skaters and no goalie.

If you stink, flaunt it.

What are the thoughts...

going through Jagr's and Pushor's head this morning?

Gotta say, that may've been the worst showing by the Rangers in my recent memory. Everybody stunk. Amazing. And they were soooo outta sync. You can almost here frustration in Davidson's voice too as he was saying they need to get things together.

Can't even go through each player's performance since it was so bad. I will say this though, Leetch worse defensively than every defensemen on this team, and he will be the one that gets the most ice time. The guy's a shell of himself. He used to regularly block shots, now he's not even in position to do that, and it's so easy to take him out of the play (just have a forward skate away and he'll follow). It's become sad. Oh well.

of course people are going to come here to give the fans a hard time. The problem is why give the rags fans a ragging when the majority of them were against bringing jagr here, as well as when they brought back Kovalev. But what do you expect Bure9, do you think people come here to congratulate you on another salary dump. People resent the rangers and how they conduct business, and whether they are right and wrong that is their opinion. A team full or primadonna's you think people want to root for them, that aren't a fan of them. My guess is that most fans wan't to see them fail. Sympathy to the rangers fans who are reeling from this deal, and didn't advocate like some did. The majority were against it but the few were all pumped up, and how we got a great deal. Of course you got a great deal no one was taking on any of his salary with the CBA showdown. That is why people are here, not because they believe the Rangers are needed by the NHL.

apologies to STBOB, davisian, jr 9, nyr lundmark, dedalus, fletch, klingsor, ,evil sather, shadowtron, liquid clown and so on.

Hopefully for your sanity Dolan will can sather. Then someone will come in and do a complete house cleaning. YOu have a bright future if the other guys aren't removed from it lundmark, dawes, tyutin, jessiman, baranka. The problem is, that if sather is still GM the future is gloomy. Glen is probably lookin in the mirror after the shower saying "you the man slats, you the man. First Bure, then Kovalev, now Jagr...Nice...Dolan only knows the names, i am safe...Wooo hooo"

Not really.

Have been slowed down because a lane or two is closed. It does take a "Special" mentality to laugh at the victims, though.

Problem is that any house cleaning really needs to begin with Dolan himself.

Not to back up Sather because he's obviously doing a lousy job, but I firmly believe that when he came here he didn't have the option of rebuilding. He came here and Dolan wanted the playoffs. Just look at the Knicks, Van Gundy was quoted as saying that Dolan would force Layden into making deals he didn't want to make and I firmly belive this is the case with the Rangers. I'm not defending Sather at all, but I think more blame falls on Dolans shoulders then some of us realize. Do you honestly think Dolan would have stood for a five year rebuilding process? Absolutely not.

You were bored out of your skull over there.

Suffering is good for the soul. Just think how happy you'll be in 2048 when we win the Stanley Cup again.

Ah, THE BRIGHT SIDE. Now I understand. Unfortunately I'll be dead by then.

What makes you want to puke? They drafted Alfredson, Hossa, Havlat, Spezza, Todd White, Fisher by making great trades (Redden and Volchenkov) and drafting brilliantly. Trades like . They are about to practically build an empire up there. They drafted a solid group of guys when they stunk and then do a great job of making due with late round 1st (ie. Havlat). How does that make you sick? Because they actually did a good job building a good hockey team?

Naw, it's more like having invested in Enron, watched your life savings disappear, then by fate, one day you are walking down the street and you see Ken Lay getting his a$$ kicked by a bunch of punks for his pocket change.

You stop to watch the beating, shrug your shoulders, then move on.

It ain't nuthin' but a thang.

Do you think that he sees the real side now? Would rebuilding be all that horrible compared to what is now the 7th year of hockey hell?
And, sorry, I do not give more blame to Dolan over Sather. Dolan knows NOTHING about hockey. He went to Bettman and Bettman put him and Jackass in cohoots. Dolan does whatever Sather says. Would any sane hockey mind go out and acquire Lindros, Bure, Kovalev, and Jagr, ALL in succesive years? Would any sand hockey mind just keep ignoring the teams real needs (ie...DEFENSE), in favor of offensive players? Sorry, this is all about Jackass not getting it and wanting to play 1980's Edmonton Oiler pond hockey. And the latest move just illustrates that.
