I think he'll get 15..........minutes. Whether he gets a point or two is another question. I don't expect a bushelful of goals on either side, and it also depends who he ends up playing with.

He certainly has speed, great lateral movement, and can handle the puck. He's

He certainly has speed, great lateral movement, and can handle the puck. He's no wizard in his own end, but hell, he's still a kid.

I've heard lots of positive comments recently about his work ethic from various sources...he not only wants to be an NHLer, but a good one.

I'm possibly the biggest Ward fan outside of his family, but this injury could be a blessing in disguise. I'm not sure that Balej would have got more than a look-see this time around, with Begin ready to return soon. Ward and Dackell's injuries mean he's going to get a decent viewing, and hopefully will be able to adapt his high skill level quickly to the NHL-pace.

Wardo will be back in time for the stretch run, and hopefully by then, Balej's subsequent amazing play will facilitate management's decision to deal players currently on the roster

I hope Balej takes Bulis spot, not that Bulis sucks, just that he is more of a 3rd liner. Balej has the speed like bulis, but a better touch, so give him the spot

If Balej have the same speed than Bulis, put him on the first line right now! ...But I didn't saw the game so I can't tell. If he can't make the same job that Bulis do (making great passes, controlling the puck from his own zone to the opposite end, etc...), then play Bulis as a 3rd line winger.

What impressed me the most about Balej was his acceleration. He is fast.

Easily. Balej is IMO the fastest skater in the Habs organization (maybe on par with Kastsitsyn). Blazing speed but also some serious acceleration. He'll still need to get stronger (upper body) but he sure is a speedster. My guess is he'll pass Dagenais on the depth chart in less than a year.

Does that mean you have seen Kastsitsyn play? Can you post your impressions about him?

From what I read in scouting reports, Jozef Balej is faster then Kostsitsyn

I'd say Balej is faster. Balej has great acceleration, but Kasty has good speed. More like Perezhogin speed, good speed and acceleration, but a notch below Balej who can really burn.

Contract issue???? Not again???
Let's just not burn Balej like we burned Hossa by putting him on the first line right away.. He must get used to the fast pace and level of skill on the 3rd-4th line for at least 6-7 games before you consider giving him a real shot (not one third period) at the top two lines, if you want my advice.

Looks like an underdeveloped Pavel Bure'ish player (that actually plays defense).
