I honestly don't care who's speaking it. It's just a bunch of propaganda, dreamed up by some marketing group.

lol. As a season ticket holder in the student section for basketball I've heard that song ALOT. Only question is that why they play it during Ranger games when a Ranger has nothing to do with pirates.

I still say they should have had Emilio do it. Good ol'Coach Bombay

BTW, Gunnar Stahl sucks, on a penalty shot who would skate in, stop and then take a slapshot?

Hard for me to get pumped up or take seriously any notion of respect/tradition from an original 6 franchise that has managed to win only 4 Cups in 80+ seasons. It's embarrassing.

I too was going to say...

what is the tradition of the NY Rangers Franchise? Just because they've been around doesn't mean there's a tradition. Seemed to me that the 'tradition' was more concerned with big names and glitz than winning hockey games.

Rangers definitely have one of the worst histories of all the original six teams. 4 Cups, countless years of heartbreak. Missed the playoffs 30 out of 80ish seasons. Lots of terrible owners. Bad GMs and coaches, etc.

1994 brought respect back to the organization which was then crashed again by our playoff drought. Finally now the team is getting back to respectability, but unless they win a couple cups, we're still the Original 6 team with the 2nd least amount of Cups which is really a shame.

In terms of traditions, the fans in MSG have some of the best traditions in North American Sports, however, the team on the other hand? IDK.

Eh. Boston and Chicago have pooped on their history, too. But we do have the fewest cups.

EDIT: and the Leafs, one could argue.

EDIT 2: right, 2nd fewest.

Leafs still have won a lot more than we have. They have 10 Cups. I'll agree that Boston and the Black Hawks have just as crappy a history as us.

Canadiens - 24
Leafs - 10
Red Wings - 9
Bruins - 5
Rangers - 4
Black Hawks - 3

So we're the 2nd least

Hahahaha, Gunnar Stahl.

Emilio Wetthebed should actually replace Renney. And let's trade Tyutin and Girardi with the Bash Brothers... AND bring Keenan in to teach Jagr the knuckle puck.

Flying V to Lord Stanley.

The MSG intro is the best where they show the construction and the awesome little music thing and then "Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to Madison Square Garden: The World's Most Famous Arena!" That's awesome.
I agree, it's worn it's welcome. I always though the music sounded like a sappy version of the gladiator theme.

Maybe the Rangers should hire LeftKinger I liked his video in this thread http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=406478 It got me pumped up before the season started. Boy I'd give anything to feel that good about this team and their chances for this season again.
