we have a really good opportunity here to jump back up to a 4-pt lead over Atlanta tonight. they play Detroit, which you would almost have to consider a lock. lets hope it is.

Why do they only play the Valtrex commercial before the third period?

lol see above

that commercial is wierd and old. they have had the same one for a long time now. if they have to keep it, I want to see more people having problems

on a side note for the game, Luke says in his blog that Hedican is a GTD for tonight.....could be good or bad....

they play it DURING the third. they play it on the first commercial break after the 10-minute mark in the 3rd.

They used to play it right before the game started and when they did we usually won... so to turn the bad mojo around:

"I have herpes. And I don't"

They figured that most outbreaks are happening in the third period when team is losing miserably. So they switched to the third to make the most of this commercial.

Any takers to get together tonight and watch the game from Buffalo Brothers or Carolina Ale house?

I've notices it is much easier to take loss after few beers or pepsis for those under 21.
Let's do it, in Cary. I hope they don't have Football on all screens this time. I'll prbably go there right after the Icehouse

Those commercials may be bad but nothing compares to one of the CHL vs. Russian selects games I listened to. It was game 2 vs the ohl and every timeout they had an ad for e.d. and a few times the commentator himself even had to do a pitch for the clinic. I don't really even remember anything about the game, but I know where to go if I ever experience such problems

We're playing a crumbling Toronto team while Atlanta plays the powerhouse Red Wings.

I have a feeling that tonight will be a good night

Any kind of split is a big victory for Atlanta.

Anyone think Brookbank will drop them with Belak? Or is he still feeling a little sick perhaps?

Brookbank hits Tucker low and gets a penalty. I don't want us to get into penalty trouble early, and I definitely don't want to see us goon it up (although that's the only thing Brookbank can do, apparently)

Ya it was clearly dirty. Comes on for his first shift and skates by Tucker and sticks his leg out, hits him knee on knee. No doubt about it, he did it on purpose.

Letowski's stick is slashed in half and there's no penalty

Tucker is back. He stayed down fairly long after the hit, probably hoping for a more severe call.
