Wow, how does Spezza not make it? Only ONE of the forwards for the East has more points than Spezza (Ryder). Very, Very interesting...

Leopold went last year. You can only go once.

I'm surprised there's no Stajan.

Who are the other rookie goaltenders (or those who are still on their first contracts) in the Western Conference? Sauve?

Surprised JM Liles didn't make it.

Why not Liles?? I assume by those rosters they are going back to 4 on 4? Certainly not enough players for 5 on 5.

It is an absolute joke that Spezza hasn't gone to it. Derek Roy has played *17* NHL games...

Semenov definitely deserves to be there. He has been nothing but solid this season.

Why is Torres there? Isn't he in his 2nd contract? I thought Hemsky should be there too since he didn't play last year.

That was absolutely the rule before this year. Obviously they've changed it. Maybe they're just picking rookies now.

Edit: Scratch that as Bouchard isn't a Rookie.

Nice to see the rule scraped that would've provented Ryder, Hunter and Raycroft from being there.

Glad to see Garnet get the nod.

I think Spezza was hurt by the "every team must have a player on the All Star or YoungStar roster" rule.

"I think Spezza was hurt by the "every team must have a player on the All Star or YoungStar roster" rule."

He would have been the best player there so that doesn't make any sense.

Yeah, I'd take Stajan over him, but Matt will have next year.

Actually the rule does exist. They made a special exemption for Raycroft, Ryder and Hunter because they are strong rookie of the year candidates.

Torres is on his second contract and isn't eligable for RotY.

Hemsky should be there....

Hemsky did not play last season. He was invited but was injured at the time. Another Oiler Shawn Horcoff took his spot in the game that year.
