Dont get me wrong I agree with both of you. I hate Shelly being in the lineup, I think the fourth line is wasted with him in it.

My guess is Linds was sent down today because the crunch play tomorrow. Giving him some travel/practice time. Sounds like Modin will be back on Thurs.

I really hope that he doesnt get traded to the rangers if we ever end up trading. He shouldnt be a throw in.

Could Shelley be a piece of a trade? Maybe that's why.
As Hitch mentioned some time ago... teams need to have a guy like Shelley on the bench.

Otherwise, it does seem like his days are extremely numbered. Wouldn't surprise me that they're simply respecting the code by carrying him until their options run out. He's meant a lot to the franchise and fans.

I dont know why, but ive alway had the feeling that Lindstrom will be traded before he see's full time in columbus. I really hope im wrong because i think hes one of our top prospects (and my fav).

JF, id be suprised if anyone wanted Shelley but who knows...

Ive always said, if Shelleys so good in the locker room then he should stay there. Give him a job like the "the bathroom cologne guy"

I'll be at work for this one.

I'll be constantly refreshing the GDT as well as the NHL real time to
stay updated.

I can't even connect to the chat room either.

Damn proxy servers.

Both 1460 and CD101 have online radio; is that not an option?

Shelly is 20 games away from the NHL Pension. The organization will let him get there before letting him go.

I can't connect to the chat room either, but at work they let us stream audio, so those ports are open. You should check (as Viqsi suggested) 1460 and CD101. You might be able to get through on those ports.

I'll be at work too, pretending to work and trying not to scream too loudly when the Jackets score.

Heh.

I'm on a phone at work.

So listening to radio whilst someone else at the same time isn't an easy task.

Thanks though.

yes he does , he was actually the face of the franchise before Nash got here, his antics, fights (win or lose) , and gritty play put people in the seats game after game ....He's done everything that the organ-i-zation has asked him to do and he's 20 or so games away from an NHL pension. Let the guy put his time in I've always admired his work ethic at practices I've been to(first on the ice and stays over to work on skating and shots long after every one else is gone)

I'll settle for having to stifle myself once a period. I think Pazzy will keep the Canucks to one goal after his confidence-building SO performance. So if we can grab 3 goals we should do pretty well.

I do wish we had Modin back for this one though, I'm anxious to see how his injury will affect his play, and opening up at home would be better than having to open on the road.

I would say it was Ron Tugnutt for the 2 years this franchise existed before Nash was around.

Well said, everyone needs to leave him alone until he gets his 400 at least. I personally have no problem with him in the lineup, he works hard, doesn't give the puck up or make stupid plays (Klesla), and he is willing to go with anyone. He isn't winning any games for us but he certainly isn't losing any for us either. Get off his ass people, his precense alone gets the crowd energized and that's an important roll in itself. Why don't we focus on the players that are underperforming on a regular basis (Vys), instead of Shelley.

Actually there is less pressure to perform for the fans on the road, that is probably why they will ease him back into it on the road rather than at home where he might over do it and re-injure himself from adrenaline at home.

Toledo always lists the game on the guide as being on as well and then it's blacked out so hopefully that doesn't happen to you.

Shelley was always the fans face of the franchise though, you didn't see nearly as many Tugnutt jerseys as Shelley jerseys.

If we win I'd say we are close to being ready for some serious playoff discussion. I don't think we can beat them, I hope I'm wrong.
