Our core defense is young as is our goalie. Trade most, if not all of the older forwards and start to build your forwards around Gomez, Drury and possibly Prucha

Jagr hasn't missed a regular season game since he's become a Ranger. It'd be interesting to see how the team would play without him in the lineup.

Straka got a concussion because of his age?

And let the anti-Jagr comments commence.

I'd be shocked if he didn't play. But if that's the case, he deserves the benefit of the doubt (but still probably won't get it).

Is this Jagr doing what he did in Washington when that team was struggling? Faking injuries etc?

Jaromir Jagr did not skate today after injuring both of his feet in last night's 4-1 loss in Pittsburgh. Coach Tom Renney said Jagr was hit with a puck in one foot and kicked in the other. He was limping around the Rangers' training facility and it's uncertain if he'll be able to play in tomorrow night's home game against Buffalo.

Straka is an injury prone player.Look at his games played in the last 6-7 years. He has suffered some major injuries in his career and all of those injuries have taken a toll on his body.Sorry for not explaining my point in full detail. He played with a terrible shoulder last season. Before his first season with the Rangers(the lockout allowed him to rest his body-played hockey in Czech Republic during the lockout),Straka's last full 82 game season was 01-02.

It is true. I don't consider it much of an accomplishment, though.

He's an idiot. 10 of those games he should of missed at the very least because of an injury that he only made worse by continuing to play.

I agree, would be interesting to see the lineup and how the team plays if Jagr is out, I mean, we can't exactly get any lower.

Shame on Jagr for not wanting to let his team down and sit out.

Shame on Jagr for becoming more injured so that it affects his play to a level that he could of avoided had he sat.

Players play injured all the time. If it was so serious then the trainer should have said something. And none of those injuries got worse which made him acutally have to sit out.

The only time was in the playoffs when he played with a seperated shoulder and made it worse. I think that was one of the loudest ovations in years when he stepped on the ice.

Come on man, the only person that controls Jagr is Jagr, at least in New York...

I enjoy posting here for the most part but not for nothing, some of you guys are DISGRACEFUL and should NOT be calling yourselves Rangers fans. The things you say about YOUR own players makes me sick. Instead of picking on a guy like Jagr for the team's struggles, and make ignorant comments like "oh hez dumb cauze he shuld not play if hez hurt what a retardd lyke who carez if he hasznt missed agame he suxx!", you should take a look at the team as a whole. It's really pathetic guys. If you're going to show frustration, at least make a smart argument for it, and show displeasure for the TEAM, not Jagr, not Malik, not Rozsival's "worst game as a Ranger", etc.

I mean it has honestly gotten to the point where I think some of you are better off slapping on some skates yourselves, and getting on the ice. Because after all, you guys talk as if you can do SO much better.

Are you referring to me?

I'm probably one of the last people on these boards to single out players for losses, or for the results of the season.

I defend Malik for crying out loud.

And plus, these are NHL players. That means, in some way shape or form, they are talented enough and more so than others like ourselves on these boards, that they can make it to the NHL. The majority are getting payed millions to play well. We should not feel sympathy for the majority of situations.
