Tonights game, Phoenix

When the actual GDT is posted merge this, I just wanted to say and won't be around until tonight. In looking at tonights roster we have eight guys starting that were not starting at the same time last year... I always knew we needed new names on this team in order to win, even Hitch said we were 5 guys short last year.

We win tonight.

The new names: Novotny, Peca, Glencross, Brassard, Boll, Hejda, Russell and Methot.

Looking at this morning's probable lines, I am very excited with the team we are putting on the ice tonight. Even moreso when I realize there is still no Modin. Jackets 4-1

This is going to be a tougher game than you all think. Yotes have been playing some good hockey, and this could be a game the Jackets look past. If the Jackets keep the Yotes slowed down and bottled up, they should win. If they try and get into a foot race with them, look out.

I can think of alot of teams I'd rather face on the road than PHO at this point in time. Like us, they are a team that believes this is their year to get in the playoffs. Teams like that are incredibly hard to beat on their ice...our own home winning streak is evidence of that.

This isn't a pushover team anymore, but on the other hand, let's look at Bryz's career against the Jackets...

4GP 1-2-0 14GA 3.99GAA .895 SV%

I think we can beat him, and them, if we play well, play consistently, and get the puck to the net.

Meanwhile, here's Pazzy's record against Phoenix.

5GP 3-2-0 12GA 2.41GAA .923 SV%

I'm gonna play the numbers and say Jackets 4, Phoenix 2.

I don't think the Jackets are looking past anyone this season.

When could the Jackets ever look past anyone?

Not sure who "you all" are that think it's going to be a walkover. Dr. Fire.

The others on here I agree with. For the Jackets, I'm not sure there has ever been a should-win game. By the same token, I'm not sure there has ever been a game that wasn't a must-win.

Yep, Beba just put one up, as soon as a mod signs in they will merge it...thanks Beba

The game won't be easy and Phoenix is playing well but so are we. I liked footes comment after thelast game, he said they match up good against the teams on this road trip. I think the Jackets are pumped and will play well on the road for a change. They won't win them all but they won't lose them all either.

Tonights game is as good as any to win.... I think they will win.
