RBK 6K Shaft

Epuck's gotta a coupon code that brings it down to $27. Is the shaft any good or just a waste of money?

At $27 it could be disposable and it would still be a decent deal. If you want to tryout a tapered shaft, no is the time.

Probably a decent shaft, but I've found it hard to find decently cheap tapered blades locally and I hate paying $10 in shipping. Epuck got bought out by HockeyGiant so they have the same specials...and I spot a Bauer XXX tapered blade for $40, but only in LH.

Well, i just ordered it because I want to try out the tapered shaft, but blades are expensive. I ended up buying a Warrior Dolomite Pro-Stock blade from hockey monkey. Came out to $52 with shipping . Spent more on the damn blade than the shaft.
btw if anyone's interested:

shaft0110 is the coupon code.

I've heard that the shaft if good but the RBK blades are junk.

i use the 5K shaft (not tapered) with a One90 blade and it's held up well.

I always use Warrior blades since every one I've bought has held up very well for me. I decided to try out the Prucha this time.

Got the shaft on Wednesday and the blade on Thursday and I have a game tonight, can't wait to try it out. I just hope that since I've been playing with an Oggie grip for a while that it doesn't feel weird. I remember last game switching to my Easton and it felt so short that i switched back after two shifts.

I got mine yesterday and plugged in a Vapor XXX P88 blade. First thing I noticed is that it's a bit more flexy than the 5K shaft. I'll try it at stick & shoot tonight & see how it handles.
