Bauer Nike Vapor XXV

So a few days ago I ordered a Vapor XXX Lite off Hockeymonkey.com. A day later I get a call saying that they aren't allowed to ship Bauer Nike sticks to Canada. Bummer since it was only $100+shipping.

So I went out today and pick up the XXV Stick'um on sale. I got 87 flex with the P88 Lindros curve. I wanted a Jokinen like on my old XXX, but they didn't have any. The P106 Gagne looked a little awkward, so I went with the P88 which is a lot like the Jokinen.

I like the weight of it, really feels like my old XXX. I like the curve as well.

Anybody played with this stick before? I was looking at getting the XXXX but I didn't seem like the difference in price was worth it.

If it was only $20 I would have gone with the XXXX, no doubt.

Jokinen and the p106 Gagne are the same IIRC. But the p10 Gagne is a toe curve.

Yeah I knew the Jokinen and Gagne P106's were the same curve...it just looked a little.....off. I don't know why but it just did.

The Lindros curve looks very similar to the Jokinen on my XXX...I put them up beside each other, and the P88 has just a little bit bigger of a curve in the middle of the blade, and its just tiny. I'm sure I'll like it when I hit the ice Monday night.

Liking it so far. I didn't cut it, so its still an 87 and is up to my lower lip in terms of height.

My puckhandling with the XXV is as good as it was with my XXX. I'm still trying to find that 'sweet spot' in the curve for wristers. I had a deadly accuarate and poweful with the XXX. My wrister just seems a little off right now. Not as accurate or powerful. I'm sure it will come. But to be fair I'll guess I've only really taken about 24 or so wrist shots with the stick so far. About 10 each warm-up and 2 shots in each game. With more practice it'll come.

In 2 games with it I have a goal and 4 helpers. Not bad.
